The Daily Dose.  Got a good one for you.  12 Tracks.

.

-Before I talk shit about one of the best MC’s of all time, I must preface it with how much I respect Jay-Z as a musician and a businessman.  He has accomplished a lot, and has the career every rapper admires.  That being said I haven’t really fucked with his music since The Black Album.  I think Jay needs to take operate like a lot of these classic rock bands.  STOP making new music, and just tour all the time on his CLASSIC material.  I mean Kanye fucking West has a better verse then Jay-Z on his own track?  That’s fucked up.  Plus, let’s be honest.  Jay‘s getting old.  I don’t want to listen to 45 year old rappers.  He needs to just continue to develop his brand in alternative ways.  Why not start with the sick Roc Nation squad he is developing?  I don’t think Jay needs to go away from hip-hop.  He just needs to remain relevant in an alternate capacity.

.

-Speaking of the Roc Nation squad I got two joints from J. Cole today.  Both involving him fucking girls, which is always exciting.  This kid is looking like he may be a problem.  “Lights Please” is off of his sick mixtape The Warm Up.  You should really cop it, and then check out my interview with him here.

.

-Wow.  It appears as if we’ve got some real hip-hop.  This KRS-One & Buckshot joint is fire.  The track is off of their album by the same name, Survival Skills.  Album drops September 15th.  Cop it.  Scope Red’s interview with a really high Buckshot here.

.

-This Gorilla Zoe song is awesomely retarded.  Has anyone else noticed all the singing rap G Zoe has been up to lately?  I’m not really that mad at him for it, because of the way his voice sounds.

.

Triple C‘s fucking sucks.  I mean we kind of gave Rick Ross a pass for being a pathological liar because his music is good, but his posse of clowns aren’t so lucky.  I really hope Def Jam isn’t stupid enough to distribute their record.

.

-First leak off of Kid Cudi’s Man On The Moon album which drops on September 15th.  This track sounds like an intro. If the album is anything like his A Kid Named Cudi mixtape then it should be fire.  By the way, Perez Hilton is looking especially gay in the above picture.

.

-This Mikkey Halsted track is dope, and it’s off of K-Salaam & Beatnik’s Where The Streets Have No Name project that is dropping this Tuesday.  Ironically the first time K-Salaam ever heard of Mikkey Halsted was when I played him his music.  I guess he decided to hit him up.  It’s always cool when one of those blogger dudes gets to help contribute to some creative shit.

.

-Another leak off of Freeway & Jake One‘e Stimulus Package coming this fall. I still can’t believe it’s dropping on Cash Money.

  1. Perspective and this lame CLASPLYA09 stop sucking KanGAYe he aint spit better than Jay I Could Tell Yall Dont Listen To Rap, Kanye Says Have You Ever Had Shoes without Shoe Strings/ Whats That Ye/ Baby These Heels/ is that a maybach baby these wheels As You Can See He Say Baby these Heels What The Fuck Does He Mean Heels Thats Gay Ya Niggas Think he killed hov on this he did until he slip up and said some faggot shit how u Wearing heels And telling your biatch that dats suspect and hov ripped him and thats that ya some kanye gay heads

  2. That whole “too old” shit is getting old. I think Ye is dope but Jay Z is the Sinatra of hip hop. He ain’t fall off yet; only hated on. This is hip hop; it ain’t pop or bopper shit. niggaz should grind til’ they’re in the grave…

  3. Again, when i hear comments like this from perspective, it makes me think twice about this as a real HIP HOP site. Listen to the American Gangster Album, Hip Hop!! It’s a really good album. On the joint that you say Ye killed him on…….not really……not really at all. It’s just a solid verse from Kanye (who is a dope artist, i don’t know why sexuality comes into it, he is just a good artist), but Jay took the approach of putting emphasis on his flow and referring to his topic in an oversight, rather than specifics, like Kanye did, two different approaches, and they got a solid song out of it. Perspective, i’m not a Jay Z stan…….(I am a Ghostface and NAS stan though, but i still check thier ass when they do weak shit), but when someone is dope, their dope. This is Hip Hop!!! No matter how old you get, if you got a passion, if you have a voice, you don’t ever stop rhyming. It’s more than this smoke and mirrors that alot of people think it is. it’s not no popularity contest, Hip Hop comes from the heart, it’s not about sales, swagger or age…..it’s about quality and representation of a life and belief that one as an individual, or a community can share with the masses. Jay Z is making good music, don’t try and shoot him down for doing that…..and you know what….The Warm up tape is ok, Grown Simba alone got me saying this guy potentially gonna make a good contribution to Hip Hop, but the tape weren’t CRAZY!!! It ain’t better than American Gangster for Damn Sure, yet again, you talking about all these other dudes in the game, and shooting down people who are not only supporting new artists, but actually setting a bench mark for good Hip Hop Music, and don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying every joint Hov drops is a classic, but he is genuinely a great MC. You had me thinking you were a cool hip hop head at one point, and i even told you that, but after a while, comments like Fab > Jay Z right Now????? i was like, this guy don’t really get Hip Hop, because at no point in Fab’s career has he been in and above those type of ranks of MC. But again, i do like when you speak on New up and coming dudes like XV who is dope, etc, but you not seriously listening to artists who have accomplished alot and are still making better music than some of the guy’s your giving such adoration too. Nipsey Hussle is alright, he’s not great as of yet, but you talking about him in a greater light than you would Jay Z, Eminem, etc. start listening to everybody Perspective, you’ve obviously got a good insight into music, a slight paramount of ignorance seems to stop you from listening to everybody equally…..and it’s a shame, because we do read your post, and it would be good to have someone who truly listens to all creed of MC on this Hip Hop Site

  4. If talking shit about Jay-Z gets you fuckers to comment I’m going to do it all the time. Wait when did I say Fab > Jay? Ultimately my point is that I’m bored with Jay’s music.

  5. So what if your bored?????? if the music is good, report that it’s good. Don’t be tearing down MC’s, and i’m not only talking about Jay Z. I’m talking about GOOD MUSIC IN GENERAL!!! I’m sure Nipsey Hussle and Emilio Rojas are REALLY exciting music makers!! don’t get me wrong, they got good joints, but put everyone on an equal playing field, no matter how established or new to the game they are. And you said the FAB comment when his version of ‘when the money goes’ was posted. That ain’t cool!! And again, I’m not saying Jay Z makes the most exciting music neither, but he is dope, Bronze Nazereth ain’t the most EXCITING producer/MC but the ‘Great Migration’ project was dope. if it’s good, it’s good. that’s all i’m saying.

  6. booooooo yall niggas need to stop bein so damn sensitive, man. The nigga perspective dont feel like listenin to Jay, yall dont feel like listenin to Ye, and I don’t feel like listenin to yall niggas. Calm down niggas, its just hip hop. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions but some of y’all ignorant niggas make me wanna sign a “fuck freedom of speech” petition. Real talk. But anyways…KRS an Buckshot go hard. Fuck off.
