I’m really excited for this album entitled “Wake Up!”.  Two incredible musical talents come together for an album, I’m sold.  Plus the most recent collaboration between these two yielded one of the best tracks (“The Fire”), in my opinion, on The Roots’ “How I Got Over.”  The artwork looks dope and I imagine they went with the throw back styled cover because they are covering some older material at points including Marvin Gayes “Wholy Holy” and Donny Hathaways “Little Ghetto Boy.”  This album is going to be dope, of that I have no doubt, be sure to support good music by buying this album on September 21st.  John Legend recently said of the album:

“These songs sound so relevant now,” stated Legend. “On most of them, you wouldn’t change a lyric. ‘Wake Up Everybody’ has four verses—the first one is a general statement, the second is about education, third is about health care, and the fourth is about making a better environment. No editing needed.”
