Rapper T.I. has withdrew his request 95 folks over for Thanksgiving after prosecutors said that was too much. Now he’ll be spending the holidays working on his new album. According to Entertainment Weekly, T.I. is at his crib working on his new album, “Paper Trail.”
He’s trying to have the album drop around September 2008 and has already recorded six tracks. Apparently T.I. is also penning his lyrics, something he hasn’t done since 2001’s “I’m Serious.” For his last few albums, T.I. has been doing the Jay-Z/Biggie thing by not writing down his lyrics and going into the studio and composing songs off the top of his head. But now he’s taking the time to think about his raps.
"He wanted to take more time to really put something down [this time]," a rep told Entertainment Weekly.
T.I. is awaiting trial to answer to federal gun charges. If convicted, he could face a lengthy sentence.
