Although he’s imprisoned, TIP’s still in high demand.  The incarcerated rapper’s seventh album, No Mercy, hits stores tomorrow, and on Friday, VH1 will air T.I.’s episode of Storytellers.  In this clip, T.I. reflects on his transition from rapper to actor when he was given the lead role in the film ATLClifford sings a different tune than Lupe Fiasco and actually shouts out Atlantic Records for supporting him in making a film about “about young man from Atlanta who likes to go roller skating.”  He explains that ATL was supposed to be “the most honest interpretation” of Atlanta and that during the making of the film he was inspired to write “What You Know.”  T.I. goes on to perform the hit song with a live keyboardist and drummer.

To see the rest of T.I.’s Storytellers, tune in to VH1 Friday at 11pm
