The Associated Press says when T.I. reports to the Forrest City low-security prison on May 26,  he will only serve what will amount to two months. Initial reports stated the he would serve 366 days in prison for multiple weapons charges. The reduced sentence was due to a special deal which called for T.I. to remain on home confinement and complete a series of community service programs, including his MTV series.

Looks like everyone (including myself) jumped the gun about the news coming from everyone involved with T.I.’s sentencing.  He was given credit for serving 305 days in home confinement, but that credit goes towards another part of his sentence and not the actual federal prison time.  He can and probably will receive a 15% reduction in his sentence (about 55 days) for good behavior.

He will still face three years probation as well as a $100,000 fine upon his release.

I guess he’ll be gone ’til November April.
