Timbaland, Beyonce, Bone Thugs Nominated for American Music Awards

      Timbaland, Beyonce, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and T.I. are among this year’s top nominees for the American Music Awards. Beyonce was nominated for Female Artist and Best Female Artist in the Pop category and Favorite Album in Soul Rhythm/Blues. Justin Timberlake faces off against Timbaland and Akon in the Pop-Rock genre for “Male Artist of the Year.” Also, his multi-platinum selling album FutureSex/LoveSounds got a nod in both the Pop-Rock and Soul/Rhythm & Blues genre categories.

 

      In the Hip-Hop category, T.I. is up against Young Jeezy and Fabolous for “Male Artist,” while Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony will vie for votes with Pretty Ricky and the Shop Boyz for “Best Group.” “Rap Album of the Year” nominees are: Strength & Loyalty (Bone Thugs-N-Harmony), T.I. vs. T.I.P. (T.I.), and The Inspiration (Young Jeezy).

 

      The 35th annual American Music Awards will for the first time allow members of the public to vote for the winners. Fans can vote online at ama.abc.com through Nov. 1. This year’s show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The awards show airs on ABC November 18, 2007.
