As if Timbaland isn’t doing enough in trying to get folks excited for his new album, he’s now entering the video game arena. Tim has partnered with Rockstar Games (makers of the Grand Theft Auto Series) to create Beaterator for the PSP, a music mixing and beat making game that will feature original Timbaland beats and sounds.

"I’ve always been a huge fan of Rockstar and love playing their games," said Timbaland. "I’m thrilled to be partnering with them and making music for Beaterator. I cannot wait to get this in the hands of our fans!"

In addition to being able to piece together your own beats, there will also be different rhythm games and challenges to keep you occupied for hours. The game won’t drop until this summer but to get a taste of what the game is like, you can check out the stripped down web version at ROCKSTARGAMES.

In the meantime, Timbaland’s new album, Shock Value, has been pushed back a week and will drop on April 3.
