Travis Scott Continues to Hint at ‘Astroworld’ Release

Is it finally almost time?

Somewhere in the hip-hop ethos, floating alongside Dr. Dre’s Detox and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, exists Travis Scott’s frustratingly-anticipated Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight successor, Astroworld. Originally slated as the follow-up to Rodeo, this album has either been a tangential or main hip-hop narrative since whispers regarding its existence emanated several years ago. However, with a slew of first and second-hand tweets, it seems like admission to Astroworld is finally on the horizon–for real this time.

Both Mike Dean and Travis have tweeted about Astroworld’s “imminent” release date, and today, Travie has fueled that fire by posting an IG pic of him chilling poolside with a reassuring caption, “Worry not” alongside three different world emojis. Whether or not this caption is actually suggesting a rapidly approaching album is up to interpretation, but fans would be naive to not let their imaginations run wild. After all, it’s been almost two-years since a solo Travis album. Give us an inch, and we’ll take a mile.

Given his enticing and genre-catapulting sound, fans’ anticipation of this project is warranted, and their patience has been tested. Hopefully, this picture and caption are concrete evidence suggesting that this project (a) exists and (b) is finally ready to be released.
