Who knows why Usher is looking to get a new entourage around him, but it’s definitely in the works. First he announced his engagement to 38-year old (Usher is 28) stylist Tameka Foster earlier this year. Then he let go of the manager title from his mother so he can just have a momma. Now the singer and his long time publicist have parted ways.
"Change is good!" Simone Smalls, vice president of Susan Blond, Inc., said in a statement. "I’m just moving in a direction professionally that will not allow me to dedicate the same undivided attention I gave him for nearly a decade. Usher and I still remain friends."
Smalls still reps folks like Lil Jon, Keyshia Cole, and Ne-Yo. There’s no word on who will become Usher’s new manager or publicist, but fans can most like;ly expect a new entourage before his new album drops in November.
