VH1 Announces Honorees for Hip-Hop Honors in October

      For its fourth year, VH1 has announced its honorees for the Hip-Hop Honors Celebration, which will go down on October 4 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York and air on October 8. Hosted by Tracy Morgan, this year’s honorees are Snoop Dogg, Whodini, Missy Elliot, Wild Stye’s 25th Anniversary and Teddy Riley and Andre Harrell for inventing New Jack Swing. There’s no word on who will be performing during the show.

     In addition to the show, VH1 is launching “The Score”, a search for the hottest unsigned and unknown hip-hop producer in the country. The winner of this contest will be given the chance to create and produce the official score of the televised event. From July 23 to August 20, producer can post their hottest 60 second beat at HERE .
