In anticipation of his latest album, One Man Army, Wu-Tang Clan affiliate/Killarmy founder 9th Prince sat down for an intimate interview in which he discussed coming up in the industry during the ’90s and shared a few interesting antidotes about Wu members. In part one, 9th reminisces on living with his brother RZA and clowning on Method Man, Raekwon, and Inspectah Deck. He goes on to share some crazy stories about his cousin, the late great Ol’ Dirty Bastard which is a must-see for Wu-Tang fans.
The second part of the interview focuses on 9th Prince’s relationship with Ghostface Killah and his eagerness to purchase the rights to Killarmy. He also talks about grinding in the mid ’90s and ending up in an unlikely battle with a young Canibus. The third installment focuses 9th’s legitimate street credibility and his feelings towards fake rappers.
9th Prince’s One Man Army is in stores now and available on iTunes. One Man Army features production from RZA, Bronze Nazareth, Mathematics and more. In addition, his seminal debut, Granddaddy Flow, was re-released through Babygrande Records and is also available in stores and on iTunes.
