AMAs Recap

The 37th annual American Music Awards were held last night and big hip-hop winners of the night included Jay-Z and The Black Eyed Peas, who won two awards each.

Jay won for Favorite Male Hip Hop Artist and Favorite Hip Hop Album, while the Black Eyed Peas won Favortie Pop/Rock/Duo and best Soul/R&B group.

Performers of the night included Jay-Z & Alicia Keys who performed “Empire State Of Mind”, 50 Cent, Eminem,  Mary J. Blige, Lady GaGa, Jennifer Lopez, Timbaland, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston and The Black Eyed Peas.

Eminem lost to Taylor Swift for Artist of the Year and went home empty handed. He performed his hit “Crack A Bottle” along with 50 and spit his verse from “Forever”.

Taylor Swift won the most awards, taking home five, beating Michael Jackson who was awarded four.

The most memorable moment of the night had to be J. Lo busting her a** on stage while she was performing. Other than that, it was just another boring award show.

Canibus Vs Eminem…Round 2

An old hip hop beef has just been resurrected… Canibus just released a new track that is a blatant diss towards Eminem.

On the new song entitled “Pop Killer”, Canibus along with rapper DZK go in on Em, talking about his deceased  best friend Proof and even his beef with Mariah Carey. Canibus says :

“If Proof was alive, he’s be dying inside.  You ain’t no Hip-Hop messiah, you a b*tch cause you dissed Mariah.  Sh*t like that, supposed to be private.”

“I’ma fry you on behalf of Mariah and Michael, put you back on dem drugs, make you suicidal.  You can’t shut the record down, n*gga it’s viral.”

That’s cold to bring Proof into it, but you know Eminem is going to have a whole lot to say about this one. Jay and Beanie are over, make way for Eminem and Canibus
