Jay’s Response To Beans

As we all know Beanie Sigel released his own version of Jay’s “What You Talkin Bout”, entitled “What You Talkin Bout (Average Cat)”, where he goes at his former boss and friend. If your still confused why this is all happening, you can check this video out and it might clarify a few things, but in the song Beans goes in on Jay talking about everything from Beyonce to Jay calling the cops on him. In the track Beans says:

“This ain’t a diss record, this a real record/How it feel to get exposed — I was the fly on the wall, I witnessed. I could say sh*t to make B look at you different/And my gangster was never on trial, I was, stood up tall, no snitch/But the rapper Shawn called the police on me/Because I was front row at the Blueprint 3/I just wanted to see him emcee/Reminisce when we were the R-O-C/But he called on the c-o-p’s/Not only that, he brought in the f-e-d’s/So that’s telling me, F-U Sig/So F you too and F Bleek three/Whether I rap or riddle out this motherf*cker — my name good in every hood.”

Beanie recently explained his motivation behind the track was to get his emotions across without a face to face arguement and says that the song shouldn’t encourage rappers to begin dissing Jay. Beans says:

“Listen, it’s not a diss record. It’s a real record and it’s just me talking to my brother because I still got love for the brother and I told y’all, if y’all listen to the whole record, this ain’t the green light for dudes to just start jumping out the booth thinking they can come after Hov and all that. No, I’m far from a hater but it’s just me conversating with my brother the only way that I can conversate with him and letting my feelings out…I’m not dissing Jay-Z, I’m not hating on Jay-Z because of the position he’s in or where he’s going, I’m just saying, when you a team and you a crew and you a squad and you grew from the ground up, you don’t just leave your people hanging in the wind.”

On his recent trip to Canada Jay was asked about the whole situation and stated:

“He has a lot to complain about,” Jay jokingly said during a press conference. “Not me. Well Beanie Sigel at the time, and you can look it up if you like, just to be honest, was driving two Bentleys, I don’t know how. It’s impossible to drive two cars at one time with his mama in the sticks and selling 800,000 records. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody at that point. What people choose to do when they attain that type of success, you know, at some point you have to look in the mirror and look at yourself. Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label, and a clothing line. And never went platinum, ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. I don’t know what more you can do for a person at that point. But a record deal, that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line, so, if that’s not pushing a person, sh*t. Thank-you.”

Many others in the industry have been commenting on Hip Hop’s newest beef,  50 recently weighed in on the beef saying that Jay didn’t just give Beans these things, but Beans earned what he recieved. Memphis Bleek also responded to the beef between his former business partners on his twitter. Bleek says:

“Just waking up my phone going crazy over this Siegel shit.”

“I just seen son at power house wasn’t nothing now its something….. I’m lost on that…. Guess that’s how the rap game work….”

Bleek also addressed the line where Beans says:

“So that’s telling me F-You Sieg/ So F- You Too and F-Bleek 3.”

But Bleek doesn’t contribute to Beanie’s tirade and is just laughing this whole thing off. His response was:

“Fuck bleek 3 haaa that’s a good one.”

We’ll see where this whole thing goes, but I have a feeling Jay and Beans are going to settle the beef before things get too out of hand.

Lil Wayne & Birdman Getting Sued Again…

Lil Wayne and Birdman are being sued again… This time by a Florida man who says the two used his voice on a track off their 2006 collabo “Like Father Like Son”.

Thomas Marasciullo filed a copyright infringement lawsuit on Friday in Manhattan naming both Wayne and Baby, Cash Money Records and various distribution companies as parties in the case.

Marasciullo claims Cash Money had him record some “Italian styled spoke word recordings” and then used the recordings without paying him or asking his permission for the track “Respect” for “Like Father Like Son“, as well as other tracks on the album and Birdman’s 2007 album “5 (Star) Stunna”.

On the track “Loyalty”, you can hear Marasciullo’s voice saying:

“The main name in this game is respect and loyalty. Family is a big thing. When we do this kind of business, everything is with respect.”

He seeks unspecified damages.

Pimp C’s New Album

Late UGK member Pimp C’s cover art for his new album entitled “The Naked Soul of Sweet James Jones” has been released.

The album was put together by Bun B, who used Pimp C’s unused vocals to create the album. In a interview with XXL, Bun B discussed the album and says:

“We had enough vocals, But it wasn’t just about taking whatever vocals I had available; it was about constructing songs. It wasn’t about just throwing all the Pimp C I had out there. I had to really try to make an album.”

Pimp C died in 2007 from an accidental overdose of codeine combined with the medical condition sleep apnea. A release date for the album has yet to be revealed, but is being released via Rap-A-Lot Records.

Comments

  1. that was really something they should tackle on. i don’t have any sides turning on to but for me if you are in the same industry, why don’t you just keep those angst to yourselves and settle things down privately. for jay and beanie, you have to work on your problems since you are doing great songs and you are in the same part of music industry.

  2. rivalry are ok and healthy but not most of the time. it could benefit them to always catch up the limelight for what they are banging on to. but i know this happens when it root on a deep reason.

  3. it is just so sad we lost pimp c on the early peek of his career. but nevertheless, he still does a good impression in this industry all the while. i just thought he could have bring a lot of good songs in town if he is still alive

  4. On my own opinion it’s not a normal rivalry anymore. Looks like a gangwar for me. War in a music way. But I hope it won’t end up like tupac and one of the bone thugs members. Like years and decades ago, there are lots rising rappers before that ends up with there own blood. Peace y’all.

  5. On a second though i was thinking about why people end up having this rivalry? personal or career? I am not actually into rap but partly of me like rappers and RnB. But I don’t know why best rapper die/down so soon.
