Timbaland Apologizes To Jay For Leaks
Most of the leaks from Jay-Z’s highly anticipated Blueprint 3 were the tracks that had been produced by Timbaland. So when thinking how and more importantly who had a part in the leaks, it’s not surprising that he had something to do with it. Jay called Timbaland and wanted to know what exactly was going on over in his office, he said he didn’t have the songs. After a day of thinking though, he came clean to Jay and told him someone in his camp had been leaking the tracks. Not that we didn’t know that anyway and besides most of them weren’t Jay’s best material regardless.

Not A Big Hip Hop Year At VMA’s
This year’s VMA’s wasn’t that big for Hip Hop with only Eminem and T.I. winning awards. T.I. won for best male video with “Live Your Life” and Eminem went home with the best Hip Hop video award with “We Made You”. The show was hosted again by Russell Brand and started with a Michael Jackson tribute performance featuring his sister Janet Jackson. The weirdest performance had to be Lady GaGa
doing her song “Paparazzi”, where she was covered in fake blood. The night ended with a performance by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, that was also unfortunatly ruined by Lil Mama. Of course the biggest news of the night was Kanye’s tirade, but when you get that many celebrities in one room some crazy sh*t is bound to happen. Overall the show was ok and did as well as expected, except for the few who had to apologize to people the next morning…

50 Cent Explains His “Flight 187”

50 Cent has recently explained the lyrics in his “Flight 187” song, which mentions some of Hip Hops’s finest Jay-Z, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and DMX. 50 said he didnt intentionally go at Jay-Z and then points out that the media placed emphasis on making it a seem like a diss just because Jay’s album was being released and they were just trying to get those marketing dollars. 50 goes on to say: “It was the glasses, they saw the glasses. I didn’t Photoshop glasses on him. I think Jay is really conscious of his actual moves. He does those things to make a statement in different ways to create clarity that he doesn’t have to be the way people want him to be. He can do what he wants. But [it’s written] out of the perspective of me mentioning things I thought were interesting…I even wrote, ‘Em made me a star and Dre is taking a long time to mix my records. I gotta talk to Jimmy [Iovine] about it. I said a lot of interesting things on the record, but they focus on Jay because his album is releasing. ”
