Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers has sold over 500,000 copies, earning Wiz a gold certification. Rolling Papers, released March 29th of this year, is not Wiz’s debut album, but it was his first major label release.  Not the first time he’s moved a lot of records: his single ‘Black and Yellow’ was certified triple platinum, while ‘Roll Up’ was certified platinum.  While the album has been received well commercially some people have hinted that the album also isolated his core fan base.

Rolling Papers had a strong start, entering the Billboard 200 at no. 2 with 197,000 copies sold in its first week. Wiz reportedly celebrated his new gold status by partying hard at Rostrum Records and Atlantic Records. Spotted at HHDX.
