Some WNBA players are clamoring for love from hip-hop brands like Apple Bottoms, Baby Phat, and Rocawear. One of the lady-ballers pushing for the hip-hop clothing-WNBA marriage is Tamara James of the Washington Mystics, who describes herself as a Baby Phat Goddess.

I have Baby Phat underwear, I have Baby Phat clothes, shades, everything,” says Tamara . I think I’m going to go ahead and meet Kimora and tell her that she needs to let me go ahead and model her clothes for her,” said James with a smile.

According to Rod Rainey of Sojones.com, the Washington Mystics are currently recruiting “Divas in training,” which probably borrowed its name from Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat Diva Trainer Shoes.

WNBA players modeling for Apple Bottoms? Sounds like a good idea to us.
