Turns out that Fugee member Wyclef Jean who has been hard at work with his philanthropic endeavors might be in a bit of hot water, well his charity The Yele Haiti Organization might be. The reason for this is because allegedly the charity which has garnered worldwide attention has failed to communicate with the IRS since 2000. Now we all know there are two things you can’t cheat in life, death and the taxman.
Someone who works for the charity has even insinuated that no-one really knows what happens with the money once it reaches Haiti. Damn, now I find that awfully hard to believe as there is no way all these people would be singing the praises of what Wyclef does for Haiti if he wasn’t doing it…unless of course Wyclef doesn’t know that someone has their fingers in the pot.
Let’s hope this gets resolved.
