On a nice relaxing day I like to hop in my 68 big body coupe and cruise the city with something pretty in my passenger side. Something about the wind blowing and the random people stopping and waving feels pretty epic. Now when I want to go on a long sexy trip and I see that $4+ price per gallon it makes me want to cringe. It seems like Hip Hop is feeling the gas crunch too.
This increase in the cost of fuel has started a movement which has everyone around the nation saying, “Gas is Too Damn High!” The League of Young Voters Education Fund supports this movement and has worked with Kendrick Lamar, E-40, Mistah F.A.B. and more to bring awareness to this campaign by creating a short video reel of the artists discussing the impact high gas prices have on their everyday lives.
Check out the video to see Kendrick Lamar, Mistah F.A.B., Lil B, Planet Asia, 9th Wonder and E-40 and more lend their voices to 99Problems.org. Join the movement via Twitter using the hashtag #GasIsTooDamnHigh!
