Yesterday morning around 2:30 a.m. Young Jeezy, aka Jay Jenkins, was arrested by Atlanta police on numerous misdemeanor charges, including driving while under the influence, speeding, reckless driving, no tags, driving with an open container and no proof of insurance.

Jeezy was stopped along Atlanta’s Buford Highway, near route I-85, for speeding. Police then noticed his car was missing its license plates. After that, "Everything just went from there," said Officer James Polite.

This news comes just days after the Jeezy was implicated in a major cocaine-dealing ring.

Mr. Jenkins is due in court on July 17th .

  3. This is another example of what not to do all you artist who have the law already watching you. When your in the dope game man it’s kind of hard to keep the money in the shoe box. There is no pention or retirement package. So you gotta grind 365 in order to make ends meet. So if you choose that route then that’s on you it is what it is. Now regarding this traffic incident have your L’s straight it’s a must. I know Jeezy not driving in a Hooptie. So cops already watching anything that cost over 100,000. The fact that he was speeding and had an open container just added to the fire.
