Atlanta rapper Young Vito, the man accused of killing Bricksquad rapper Slim Dunkin in December 2011, was acquitted of murder charges earlier today but sentenced to 25 years in prison on an aggravated assault charge.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Fulton County jury acquitted Vinson Hardimon (Young Vito) of murder and felony murder but convicted him of  aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a handgun.

In handing out the maximum sentence, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Craig Schwall cited another gun incident involving Hardimon which occurred eight months before the death of Slim Dunkin.

“I just think he’s prone to carry a gun, and he’s violent and dangerous,” Schwall said.
