Now that CrackSpace has merged with iHipHop, what link do I use to promote my profile page?

All of the old links will continue to be functional. For example, if your user name is MACKDADDY, you can use any of the following links to promote your page:

Can I put a XXX or pornographic picture up as my avatar picture?

No and if our Admin Team sees this they will delete your account immediately. We also ask that members of iHipHop report users that are in violation of this rule by sending an email to support@ihiphop.com.

How do I use the Video Chat or Text Chat feature to speak to other iHipHop members?

One of the newest features on the site is the ability to have private text or video chats with other members.

To chat with another iHipHop/Crackspace member, log in as normal, visit the user’s profile and confirm that they are online. Look for the video chat icon to start a chat session. The recipient of the chat request will, of course, need to be logged in as well.

If you receive a prompt requesting to give permission to the Video Communicator access to your web cam, click OK. Alternatively, you can still use the chat system if you do not give permission however you will be limited to text chats only.

Once the Video Communicator is loaded and if you have a web cam installed that is recognized by Flash, it will show up by default. If Flash cannot detect your web cam, no probem. Simply go to the Settings menu (top right corner icon) and click the A/V tab. You can then manually select which port on your computer the web cam is connected to.

The only requirement is that you will need Adobe Flash 9 installed on your computer. If you don’t have it, you can download it for free by clicking here.

Send the track to featuredaudio@ihiphop.com and as long as there are no legal or quality issues our Admin Team will get the track right up. If applicable, try to also send a link to the artist’s iHipHop page so we can include that with the track.
