Common plays as “Gunsmith” an expert on the use of firearms. "I’m basically this dude that’s a master at shooting guns,” Common told MTV. “I’m training this gentleman that’s coming in, who really has certain abilities but doesn’t know it; I’m training him on how to be what he should be." There was also an announcement that Common accepted a role to play opposite Forest Whitaker and Keanu Reeves in the upcoming flick “Night Watchman”. Common will play as Coates, a heroin dealer posing as an undercover cop. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film centers on a disgraced cop who discovers corruption inside the police department and sets out on a mission to redeem himself.

Well, according to Hot 97’s Miss Info, Duke da God and other Dipset members are now slated to appear on Flex’s show Tuesday night. Instead of discussing the Cam’ron feud, Jones wants them to utilize the platform to promote their new album, Duke Da God Presents: More Than Music Vol.2. Is this Dipset’s way of drawing attention to their new album? Or is the feud so explosive that Farrakhan is on the phone with both Cam and Jim trying to resolve the issue in private? By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Verizon already announced last week that they were dropping Akon as a sponsor for committing unspeakable acts on a 14- year old girl on stage at a recent concert. The phone company responded by terminating the endorsement contract, removing his ringtones and music from its online stores and pulled all the TV and radio spots featuring Akon and his music. Now to add insult to injury, Verizon is also pulling their sponsorship out of Gwen Stefani’s Sweet Escape national tour, where Akon is the opening act. According to Billboard, Verizon’s sponsorship of Stefani’s tour could be worth $1 to $2 million in costs, which is used to pay for production costs, employee salaries and other tour expenses. According to Stefani’s tour manager, Akon has been a PG-rated performer for the entire tour.

After announcing that the album would drop in April and then in May, the group is now saying that, “Last 2 Walk”, will drop on July 3. In a recent interview with Billboard the group said that the show is a pretty good example of their everyday life. "You see us in meetings, recording, trying to come up with songs, trying to do movie deals, even trying to pick up women," group member DJ Paul recently told Billboard.com of the show. "Our lives are like a circus," added Juicy J. "You wouldn’t believe the crap we go through everyday." The album will feature appearances from Lyfe Jennings, Paul Wall, 8Ball & MJG, Akon, the Game, Lil’ Jon and Lil’ Wayne. The first single, “Doe Boy Fresh,” is wearing out its welcome, but plans for a new single are in the works.

By: Rizoh 50 Cent’s 52-room mansion in Farmington, CT is now up for sale, according to agent Curt Clemens of Century 21 Clemens & Sons in Hartford. 50 bought the 48,000 square-foot home from Mike Tyson in September 2003 for $4.1 million. Tyson paid $2.7 million for the house in 1996. 50 reportedly spent a whopping $6 million on renovations on the house, which now includes a helicopter pad and stripper poles. Curt Clemens, owner of Century 21 Clemens & Sons in Hartford, told the Hartford Courant Wednesday that he toured the house a few months ago after being contacted by representatives of the rapper who said he wanted to sell the property. “I was surprised it hadn’t come on the market because we were expecting it,” said Clemens to the Hartford Courant. “He’s put a lot into it, and it’s all very tasteful, except the stripper poles.”

Miss Info (of Hot 97) detailed a recent conversation with Jones, in which he admitted that the inner wrangling within the Diplomats crew had been brewing for some time now. Jones told Miss Info that he “kept quiet” on the issue out of loyalty even though he hadn’t spoken to Cam in a year. “I felt like if we can’t be friends, then at least we can do business together. Me and Cam’ron havent spoken to each other in a year… I kept quiet out of loyalty, I felt like if we cant be friends then at least we can do business together….But now I can’t be next to you….I’m through wit being in hot water because of you….We still the Diplomats. We worked too hard to achieve our own success and now we’re gonna do something new….” Although he did not disclose any specific details for his dissension, Jim will speak in depth on the issue today when he’s scheduled to visit Funkmaster Flex’s radio show. No other Dipset member has spoken out publicly about their relationship with Cam, but various sources indicate that Juelz Santana and a few others don’t seem to share Jones’ sentiment and are even surprised by his statements. She is already facing a lawsuit from the victim’s parents for a cool $50 million while a lawsuit on behalf of Aboudihaj’s two children, 14 and 10, was filed in February. Now the victim’s husband, Maroune Hdidou, has filed a lawsuit against Brandy, and another driver in the accident, accusing them of wrongful death and vehicular negligence that calls for unspecified damages from the defendants, including medical and funeral expenses, legal fees and a host of other punitive damages. The California Highway Patrol recommended to prosecutors that Brandy be charged with misdemeanor manslaughter for her part in the multi-car accident which carries a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Charges have yet to be filed.

Eve was arrested on April 26 after she ran into concrete center median on Hollywood Blvd. Officers gave her a breathalyzer test that showed Eve with a blood alcohol-level of .08 or above according to the city attorney’s office. Even will be arraigned on the DUI charges on May 17 faces a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. The city attorney’s office told Billboard that a minimum sentence would be three years probation, a fine of $390, and a required alcohol education class.

By: Rizoh As you may have heard by now, Busta added another bust to his rap sheet yesterday and was later released on a $7500 bail. According to TMZ, he told officers that it was “a shot of Hennessy” that landed him the DUI arrest early Thursday morning in New York. Busta was initially pulled over for having his windows too tinted. After cops smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed his “watery and bloodshot eyes,” according to the arrest report, he was given the dreaded field sobriety test. Predictably, he failed the test. But he also blew a 0.067, below the legal threshold of 0.08. and was consequently slapped with one count of operating a motor vehicle while under intoxication, and one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired. He’s due back in court for his arraignment next Tuesday. Busta will also face trial on two assault charges after a judge withdrew a plea offer Monday that would have let the MC remain free. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Tanya Kennedy withdrew the offer that included probation, community service and a series of lectures to troubled youth.
