By: Rizoh It’s been barely three weeks since the Dogg Pound crew left Cash Money Records, citing financial irresponsibility. Bad news has rocked the Cash Money/Young Money camp again, following the sudden exit of yet another top new signee, Curren$y. The New Orleans rapper Curren$y announced through his Myspace blog that he’s no longer a part of the Lil Wayne-headed Young Money label. In a recent blog entry titled "Sorry Y’all I tried," Curren$y said: "I officially declare my independence…I AM NOT YOUNG MONEY….regardless of what u may hear in the streets, read on the web or hear on the radio I AM NOT YOUNG MONEY….If that loses me friends or fans that’s just something I will live with but I will get my just due in this rap game before its all said and done." Although Curren$y didn’t specify on the reason behind his decision to leave the label, he was quick to add that there’s no rift between him and Lil Wayne: "Don’t look for any beef records from me because that ain’t my thing," he said "Just look for me at the top…straight up."
By Hot Gossip Gal Well that’s what he said in an interview.I wonder what his name would have been had he opted to take that route, Kan-ye Bendover? I am happy he stayed with music. That might explain why he had Pamela Anderson in the Touch the Sky video tho..could never quite figure out what she was doing in that.
By Hot Gossip Gal The so called ‘spiritual advisor’ to Hip-Hop celebs, the Bishop Don Magic Juan came out to pay his respects to Pimp C but in all honesty made the mans funeral into more of a Hoes and Pimps party. Not only did he turn up late but he strutted in with a shit load of barley clothed girls rocking his crown and pimp cup…BOOOOO to BDMJ ….. RIP Pimp C
By Hot Gossip Gal Turns out Amy Winehouse might have been trying to bribe the dude her husband beat up with $400,000…perverting the cause of justice can carry a life sentence. Anyhow Amy and Blake have said that if they are dealt serious sentences if found guilty they have made a pact to end their lives rather than live apart. Fame and fortune never fell onto worse shoulders than Amy…
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Joe Budden used to be one of the emcees that everyone anticipated albums from but because of delay after delay on Def Jam Records, his anticipated album, “The Growth” never came out. So he released a series of mixtapes and even made a project called “Album Before the Album.” In a 2006 interview with XXL, Jay-Z said he couldn’t wait to release Budden’s album, but it wasn’t finished. But now Budden has been dropped from Def Jam, and now a track called “Talk to Me” from his upcoming mixtape, “Mood Music 3”, Budden is taking shots at his Def Jam former boss. By Rizoh New Jersey Nets’ point guard Jason Kidd now has more than his team’s losing streak to worry about. A 23-year old model has filed a lawsuit against the star player for allegedly groping and threatening her at a Manhattan club. The lawsuit accused Kidd of "battery and assault," alleging that he grabbed the model’s buttocks and crotch several times on October 10, 2007. According to the woman’s attorney, she instructed him to "Get off me!" and things got so ugly that Kidd had to be pulled away from club bouncers. Kidd’s lawyer, Paul Grand, dismissed the lawsuit as an attempt to extort money from the NBA star who takes home an estimated $20 million a year. "This lawsuit is nothing more than a brazen and defamatory search for a payout." The woman in question has asked for unspecified compensatory charges. As we previously reported, Jason Kidd is in the middle of a divorce. He claimed in his divorce papers earlier in January that he was a victim of spousal abuse.
By Rizoh D-Block is making a slow and steady resurgence to the rap game. Jadakiss has joined the Roc-A-Fella roster; Styles P just dropped his latest album via Koch Records; and Sheek Louch is set to follow suit with the upcoming release of his third independently-released album, Silverback Gorilla. Sheek’s new album, scheduled to hit shelves in March 2008 via Koch, will feature guest appearances by Jim Jones, Bun B, The Game, Fat Joe, and fellow LOX members Jadakiss and Styles P. The first single, "Keep Pushin’," is expected to invade the airwaves soon. Silverback Gorilla arrives on the heels of Koch’s current marketing deal with D-Block Records. You may recall that the first album to be issued on D-Block Records was Sheek Louch’s 2003 solo debut, Walk Witt Me, which was followed by After Taxes in 2005. As a solo artist, Sheek has sold a cumulative 400,000 units. General Manager and Vice President of Koch, Alan Grunblatt, describes Sheek Louch as "a successful core Koch artist" who defines gangsta rap in New York.

By: Rizoh Now Hot Gossip Gal clued us in on this yesterday but Rizoh has some developing news on this one….. Plies’ manager, David Lee Gay Jr., has been arrested after police found more than 80 pounds of cocaine on him. According to criminal reports, Gay entered into an agreement to distribute cocaine from September 21 through November 12. Six times during this period, alleges the affidavit, Gay sold anywhere from half a kilo to a kilo of coke (2.2 pounds). While searching Gay’s home, Police found a 9mm handgun under the mattress in his master bedroom, according to the affidavit. They also recovered about 10 grams of marijuana from his home, along with drug paraphernalia, and $7,902 in cash. Police will use a testimony from one of the co-defendants and intercepted phone calls as evidence against Gay. The affidavit claims that he had paid $6,000 for a kilogram of cocaine from a co-defendant. He was supposed to pay the co-defendant $8,000 more. One Eleazar Gutierrez-Castillo, who was also arrested in the bust, agreed to cooperate with authorities. Castillo was arrested while allegedly trying to sell coke to an undercover cop. Both Gay and Castillo are currently in an Orient Road jail with no bail set.
