By: Hot Gossip Gal Who would have thought that Fabolous and Keisha Cole would be side by side on anything beyond a track. Turns out these two are set to be the leading pair in a movie called…are you ready for this…Only the Hood Die Young…SMH and the fact that Karl Lagerfield, yup the German born clothes designer is producing it is comical…what does he know about ‘the hood’…I mean with Keisha on hand I am sure she will give him a few pointers but for real WTF?
By: Hot Gossip Gal Gossip mag OK! are paying the Desperate Housewife and her hunky ball player Tony Parker $2 million for pics of their up and coming wedding on July 7th just outside of Paris. Well if they were waiting on Tony’s rapping career to help foot the bill for their wedding, they would be waiting a very long time.
By: Rizoh Fox Boogie has done a 360 on the well-documented robbery report which allegedly left the rapper without some valuables. Foxy denied that she was robbed and stripped off her weave, credit cards and other valuable possessions, despite police reports confirming that she filed a robbery report on the incident. Chaz Williams of Black Hand Entertainment, Brown’s management company, told the New York Daily News that the BK femcee no longer has to cooperate with authorities, because she recovered her belongings. According to reports, sops have charged Roshawn Anthony, 23, with robbery. Still, Brown maintains that she was not attacked at all, telling the New York Post, “A lot of the time, people mistake me for someone else, or people always call in these false tips.” Even if Foxy scales through that spin hurdle, she still has to worry about her probation status. Brown reportedly skipped an appointment with probation officers a day before the alleged mugging incident. According to the New York Post, probation officers left an angry note outside her house yesterday afternoon, scolding her and threatening “serious consequences.” It’s been one step forward, two steps back for the troubled rapper. Earlier this month, her probation report was said to have been in good standing after she passed required drug tests and attended all court-instructed anger management classes.
By: Hot Gossip Gal Obviously JT was a little upset with a fan in Sweden as the fomer NSyncher spat on him having already thrown fruit plastic bottles and ping pong balls at Nino Antonio El-Khoury from his hotel balcony. The fan had been refused an autograph from the man who brought sexy back and was a little mad, so in typical STAN fashion, followed him back to his hotel in Gothenburg where the spitting incident took place. All i wanna know is why did JT have a supply of ping pong balls in his hotel suite???
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno The BET Awards went off without a hitch last night, is probably being considered one of the best yet. Some of the highlights of the show included Jennifer Hudson uniting with Jennifer Holliday to sing the “Dreamgirls” favorite, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”. Holliday was the actress/singer who played Effie on Broadway during the 80’s. Another moment that‘ll be talked about was the tribute to Gerald Levert, who died last year. Gerald’s father, Eddie was joined by Gladys Knight, Patti Labelle, and Yolanda Adams for a tear-jerking performance of “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Erykah Badu also gave a memorable performance of “Love Hangover” in a tribute to Diana Ross, who received a lifetime achievement award, plus kind of took a shot at 50 Cent for cursing during his performance. Making headlines this week was T.I. getting into a scuffle with members of Ludacris’ management, but T.I. squashed it on national television apologizing for his part in the fracas. Anyway, we’re sure you’ll catch the re-runs. For now, here’s the list of winners: VIDEO OF THE YEAR Beyonce - "Irreplaceable" BEST GROUP Gnarls Barkley BEST ACTOR Forest Whitaker BEST ACTRESS Jennifer Hudson BEST HIP-HOP ARTIST T.I. By: Hot Gossip Gal Well she was running around in MIA this weekend without her boo. I am sure Usher had his spies out making sure Mrs Foster was behaving as she hit up DJ Iries celebrity golf event. Or maybe she was just checking in on Superhead to tell her to keep away from her man.
By: Rizoh It’s mo’ money mo’ problems for Jay-Z these days. Michael Jackson and R. Kelly are leading a tea of a dozen music publishers that have merged forces to sue Hov’s 40/40 Club for “unauthorized public performance of musical compositions.” That’s legal jibberish for playing music at a club without paying proper royalties. The lawsuit was filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court by Broadcast Music Inc., which led the charge on behalf of Wacko Jacko and many other artists and music publishing companies. The artists are seeking damages for copyright infringement from the 40/40 club. Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and and club co-owners Desiree Gonzalez and Juan Perez were named in the suit. Sounds like Kells is still salty about that Best of Both Worlds fallout?
By: Hot Gossip Gal Poor Dame Dash just can’t catch a break can he since his break up with Jay..now it looks like he and wife Rachel Roy are having marital issues. Dame allegedly got loud at a party when he arrived and saw his wife all hugged up with some dude on a big comfy couch. But like in most cases, Dame walked away with nothing. Rachel stayed and enjoyed the night. JD Running His Mouth Now Well JD may be a big (in status but not in size) exec but he does have time to kill and what better way to kill it than writing a book. The book Young, Rich, and Dangerous: My Life in Music (such a creative title) is coming out on Atria dishes dirt on Mariah, Usher and Janet…this I have to read to believe. JD knows what side his bread is buttered so I doubt there is too much scandal in this book.
By: Rizoh Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds has officially reactivated his Bachelors’ Club membership. The Grammy-winning crooner and his ex, Tracey Edmonds, have wrapped up their divorce, according to court papers. Babyface and Tracey Edmonds had been married for 13 years, and will now share custody of their two sons, Dylan and Brandon. Tracey Edmonds has a well-documented affair with Eddy Murphy, who has his own paternity problems with Scary Spice to worry about on the side.
By: Rizoh Rumors of an Eminem album have been swirling around for months now. Those reports gained traction again when a mysterious website named kingmathers.com surfaced on the web. The site displays a photo of Eminem, along with the inscription: “Guess Who’s Coming Back? King Mathers – The First New Studio Album in More Than 2 Years.” Reports of a new Shady album are not completely unfounded though. Insider have been chirping about it for a while. Last month, 50 Cent told an interviewer that Eminem has been saving some songs for his comeback album. In 2006, Akon also confirmed that the blond-haird MC from Detroit is prepping a surprise LP.
By: Hot Gossip Gal Check out Superhead STILL shouting out Weezy on her video diary. Not only is she going to have Weezy’s so called girl..the Destiny’s Child reject after her, but also Trina now. This chick annoys the hell out of me so I hope Trina does beat her down on South Beach. Still trying to figure out what these chicks actually see in Lil Wayne to be honest but he obviously got something going on. He might just be one of the last dudes in the game to have not hit it when it comes to SuperHead though.
By: Hot Gossip Gal I mean for real what is that about? The two share a crib in New Jersey and not only that, looks like Hove got a lil mad with the Chiefs running back for starring in Fantasia’s recent video. Hmm I mean well yeah that isn’t really the job for a multi million dollar football player is it..but then neither is sharing a crib with your boy.
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno You would think in 2007, if you’re multi-platinum selling artist you would at least know how to get on the internet and promote yourself or see what people are saying about you. Not T.I. He’s in the midst of promoting his new album, “T.I. vs. Tip” and in an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, he admits he has no idea he has the internet going nuts, he doesn’t own an iPod, and doesn’t know how to download music. "I work in the studio with computers, but like Internet surfing and all of that stuff? Nah,” T.I. told the paper. “I have somebody pull up my MySpace account for me so I can see what’s going on and write back to people." He also said that he doesn’t care what kind of influence hip-hop has on his kids and that there should be no efforts to clean up hip-hop on the radio or on television. “It all starts at home. That’s where values are instilled. That’s where standards are taught. I’m a father of five kids who watch BET and all kinds of videos," he said. "They like 50 [Cent]. They like Lil’ Wayne… And I don’t care how impressionable they are, they know whatever the radio or music or whoever says, if they do a certain thing or repeat a certain thing, they’re not going to have to deal with 50. They’re going to have to deal with Daddy."
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Producer extraordinaire Madlib is known for providing banging beats for the likes the Alkaholiks, Loot Pack, De La Soul, Aceyalone and collaboration projects with MF Doom as Mad Villain, J Dilla as Jaylib, and more recently Talib Kweli for the “Liberation” album. But every now and then, Madlib leaves the hip-hop space to get a bit more creative and creates his own bands. His project, Yesterday’s New Quintet featured five band members, that were all actually Madlib himself. Each band member released a solo album but now Madlib is taking it even further. The new Yesterdays New Quintet album, “Yesterdays Universe,” features 10 new groups and 15 new tracks. Of course, it’s easy to speculate that all of these groups were created by Madlib as the entire album was produced by him. The album features both cover songs as well as originals by groups and musicians you never heard except in Madlib’s world. Here’s the tracklisiting: 01. Otis Jackson Jr Trio – Bitches Brew (M.
