By: Quibian Salazar-Moreno It’s been 10 years since the murder of the Notorious B.I.G. and the case has yet to be solved. Big’s mother Voletta Wallace has been in and out of court trying to get justice for her son bit to no avail. Now Ms. Wallace, Faith Evans and Biggie’s children have filed a wrongful death suit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court (the previous suit was in federal court), which names two former L.A. police officers as defendants. According to the documents obtained by TMZ.com, the suit goes after the LAPD alleging a cover-up to protect the officers and others possibly involved in the murder and the investigation of the case. The suit also says the murder of Biggie was done in a “very efficient, organized and professional manner suggesting that a high degree of coordination and planning preceded his murder. There were numerous police officers and witnesses in the vicinity of the murder. Police had just been called to the front of the building due to shots having been fired in the air. The murderers had access to equipment (police radio) and knowledge of police tactics, which would allow them to strike at precisely the right time.” Ms. Wallace, Faith and Big’s children are seeking unspecified general, compensatory and punitive damages.

By: Rizoh The gunman who massacred 32 students at Virginia Tech’s Norris Hall before ending his own life was “an Asian male (Cho Seung-Hui) who was a resident in one of our dormitories,” said VT’s President Charles Steger this morning. Though Steger didn’t provide further details and he said he was still uncertain whether the student gunman at Norris was the same one who fatally shot two people in a dorm two hours earlier, various independent news reports in Virginia suggest that the shooter may have been an international student. University police Chief Wendell Flinchum said Monday night police have a preliminary identification of one gunman, but they are not ready to release it. We here at Crackspace send out deepest condolences to all who have been affected.
*Drumroll* Will Smith is reuniting with his erstwhile deejaying partner Jazzy Jeff for a world tour. The pair, who dominated the rap game in the 1980’s with hit songs like “Parents Just Don’t Understand” and “Summertime,” will dazzle fans once again with their relatable rhymes and terrific turntablism. Smith has had a largely successful movie career, and was recently declared the most powerful actor by Newsweek. He’s now putting his acting hat on the side to stage a musical comeback. “We always talk about doing a record and a huge tour,” said Smith. “We just have to clear the time to do it. Right now, the plan is we are supposed to go out on tour together at the end of this year.” Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince won the first rap Grammy ever in 1989 for “Parent’s Just Don’t Understand.”
By: Hot Gossip Gal Yup mogul Sean Combs is looking for a personal assistant. Obviously you gotta be on call 24-7 and able to keep your mouth shut about things as the job description does state on numerous occasions ..confidentiality is a must. Translated that means…’no telling Kim that now Jen is back on the market, I might be working a lot more hours.’Just hope the money is right as jobs like that can make or break a person.
By: Hot Gossip Gal To be honest I think he may be trying out for Village People…but I could be wrong. Not a good look Swizz.

By Will “Deshair” Foskey Do you believe in him? Has he finally grabbed your attention? Is your girlfriend or younger sister still reeling from his groups’ break-up, four years ago? Or are you just not giving him any credit by default? Whatever the case may be, Omarion is antartic at this time. With his current single, Ice Box charted at #12 on the Hot 100 charts, and a remix with R&B heavyweight Usher Raymond freezing up the game, you have to ask yourself: Is Omarion a part of the R&B elite? We at Crackspace.com sat down with “O” to get some answers for you to be your current perception of him around. From your perspective, talk about a few ways you feel the vibe of R&B has shifted for you since you enter the industry? Omarion: I would say that for me, records like ‘Entourage’, and Ne-Yo bringing his flavor to the game, has changed the game for the better. A lot of the superstars in R&B are starting to change up. I thought that for a moment, everybody was stuck in a zone; just writing songs with catchy hooks, pushing it to radio to get a hit. But now I feel that people are starting to challenge themselves… which is a huge benefit to our genre. If a tribute to Michael Jackson was setup and you could name 3 current artists to join you in a choreographed number, who would you choose? Omarion: Definitely Usher… a definite for Chris Brown… and I am going to say Ne-Yo. The reason why I would choose Ne-Yo is because I think that he would do a really good rendition of ‘Rock with You’. He has that vibe and he dances very well in a boxed in area. The name of your latest album is 21. From a business standpoint, talk about your demographic, your main consumers and what do you feel they may be going through in life at this time? Omarion: Being that I started in the game at the age of 15, to being 22 years old, my fans have grown up with me. So I feel that everything that I’m talking about on the album, they can relate to it. Out of the 12 songs on the album, I’ve written 8 of them. They are going through what I’m going through; figuring out life, going through relationships, trying to find love, trying to end the confusion in our minds, etc. Entourage hit off very well when it was released last year. And with Ice Box doing its thing, should it be no longer a surprise to people that you know how to put a hit together? Omarion: (he smiles) I think that I’m changing a lot of people’s mind, about who Omarion truly is, and if I’m here to stay. Having a hit song takes a lot of time, and a lot of effort… it’s not an easy thing to come by – a lot of thought and a tremendous amount of strategy. So I would say that I am still changing people’s minds about me. So what is the rest of 2007, looking like for you? Omarion: Definitely, another single. I got two films coming out this year; one is called, “Somebody Help Me” with Marques Houston and Chris Stokes, and another movie called, “Reggaeton” which Jennifer Lopez produced. Also be looking out for me to be putting up some dance studios at the end of this year, the top of next year. SO IS OMARION DOING HIS THING, OR NOT? YOU TELL US…
By: Hot Gossip Gal Gonna keep this real quick, Tony Yayo is supposed to be getting the boot from Interscope (not surprising) , Ashanti has called it quits with The Inc (thought this had happened a long time ago) and Shawna has been told Def Jam will not be supporting her in any further projects.(why doesn’t that surprise me?) Has anyone actually been given a deal lately? All I keep hearing about is artists being dropped.
By: Rizoh Are you tired of hearing about hip-hop, “hos,” and Don Imus? Well, here’s more for you: A Vanderbilt University professor named Tracy Sharpley-Whiting has made the degradation of women in hip-hop the subject of her new book, Pimps Up, Ho’s Down: Hip Hop’s Hold on Young Black Women. The book, issued by New York University Press, eschews the clichéd criticism on rap lyrics but offers an insightful conversation on strip clubs, groupies, and other aspects of mainstream hip-hop, while raising incisive questions about hip-hop’s alliance with the sex industry. "As disturbing as I find some of what’s going on around gender in hip hop, there are also things that we need to celebrate," Sharpley-Whiting said. "It’s the soundtrack of black life in the United States, and it’s absolutely astonishing that it became such a cultural force globally. We have to revel in that kind of creativity coming from such a marginalized group." She added that any solutions will involve changing society rather than stifling hip hop’s blunt articulation of current events, and charged young women to be “more politically conscious about the choices they make and the opportunities they take.”
By: Rizoh Michael Jordan is breaking records—and we’re not talking jump shots, with his divorce settlement. Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita is looking at potentially walking away with more than $150 million, according to Forbes magazine. That trumps the $150 million Neil Diamond ponied up for Marcia Murphey as divorce settlement in 1995. Jordan also topped Forbes 10 Most Expensive Celebrity Divorces, which was the subject of a one-hour special on E! (Entertainment Channel) over the weekend. As Jordan has now learned, it just might be cheaper to keep her.
By: Hot Gossip Gal Yup looks like Brandy’s lil bro may be getting just a lil too comfortable in front of the camera. There is a bit of a twist to his sexcapade this time tho, as rumors are circulating are saying that he got caught on camera having sex with another guy while high on ecstasy in a California studio. Me on mi and it is only Monday kiddies..looks liked the gossip is already on fire for the week. Not sure if people will be looking to watch this like they did his last performance.

By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Three Six Mafia’s MTV reality show, Adventures in Hollyhood, is taking off and keeping fans laughing, but will it affect their new music? According to Juicy J it won’t. The group is currently working on their new album, Last 2 Walk, for a June release and they’re not selling out just because they won an Oscar a year ago. "When our fans buy a Three 6 Mafia record, we want them to get a Three 6 Mafia record,” J told the L.A. Daily News. “Of course we’ve experienced a lot of things since the last album, which we’ve touched on, but we tried to keep things the same." The album has already getting a big buzz due to the current single, “Doe Boy Fresh” with Chamillionaire and the MTV show. In addition to Cham, Paul Wall, Swizz Beats, Lil Wayne, Akon, Lil Jon, Diddy, 8 Ball & MJG, and The Game are slated to contribute to the album.
