By: Hot Gossip Gal This is a sure case of alter-ego. Reports of how Tyrese, also known as the ‘notorious’ street rapper Black Ty (ahem) beat up on ‘a’ pregnant girl friend, pregnant with his child apparently, at their home in LA have spread quicker than butter on toast. We reported yesterday that he was an officially an item with Rocsi from BET ….so now I guess having this dual entertainment personality allows him dual women. Anyhow cops were called and paramedic but Tyrese the woman basher was nowhere to be found.

By: Hot Gossip Gal Word on the streets is Jim Jones is no longer happy with his situation at Koch, the Harlem Rep thinks had he been ‘Ballin’ on a major his recent album P.O.M.E he would have gone platinum. The only Dip to go platinum on a major label was Cam’ron when signed to The Roc. But we all know days of mass marketing and publicity are over unless you are J Hova.
By: Rizoh Raymond "Benzino" Scott just can’t seem to get it right these days. Following his dramatic exit from The Source magazine, which Scott founded with college friend Dave Mays, the duo is now being charged with swaggerjacking. Complex magazine recently accused Hip-Hop Weekly, the post-Source rap tabloid by Scott and Mays, of biting their popular Lil’ Wayne interview without credit. Complex puts it this way: "In Issue 4 of their piss poor-cheapest paper to ever be printed on-rumor rag, they straight jacked a whole page of quotes and didn’t give any credit or ask for permission to reprint it. They lifted the now infamous Lil Wayne interview we did in our last issue for their ‘Word On the Street’ section (pg. 16). Word for word they reprinted quotes with no credits and definitely no green light from us." Worse still, Complex is not the only publication being robbed by Mays and Scott. They also lifted some quotes from MTV.com with no proper credit. Why are we not surprised at all?
JAY-Z’s days at the Time Warner Center could be numbered now that the condo he’s renting is about to be sold. The sky-high, four-bedroom, 51/2-bath pad on the 76th floor in the multicomplex’s north tower has gone to contract for $27million. By: Hot Gossip Gal- WTF is Jay z doing paying 40gs rent a month for an apartment in theTime Warner Building on Manhattans Upper West Side. You would think that someone would explain to J that with his bank balance he should be purchasing as opposed to renting. Or maybe his accounts aren’t as bulging as one would think. However the apartment has allegedly gone on the market and the so called King of New York is going to be looking for another castle.
By: Rizoh Busta Rhymes, who turned his former driver into a punching bag while the rest of us were busy unwrapping presents, has finally handed himself over to police. Consequently, Rhymes was cuffed and charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Neil Ross set bail at $3500, and asked Rhymes to return to court on February. 20. The judge also ordered the rapper to stay away from his accuser, Edward Hatchett. As expected, Busta placed bail on Thursday and adamantly denied the allegations. The offense could land him in jail for a year, if convicted. This is only one of several legal tangles currently rotating on Busta’s weekly schedule. Last year, the best-selling rapper appeared in court on an assault charge for allegedly attacking a teenager who spit on his car in August. He also was ticketed in November for talking on his cell phone while driving past a Manhattan police station. Let’s not forget that Busta has come under fire by the Police for not providing information on the shooting death of his bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, back in February. Is it just me or is Busta Rhymes exemplifying the hip-hop version of a midlife crisis?

By: Hot Gossip Gal For someone who was disgusted that a former porn star could have a similar sounding name, Mariah Carey looks like she is softening up a little as the New Year dawns. Now Mimi is herself gracing the cover of Playboy, isn’t this where it all begins? Hey who knows where she might end up, her singing career seems a little stagnant so maybe this is just the next step for her. Today Playboy, tomorrow Former Songstresses Gone Wild.
By: Hot Gossip Gal Quick fire round on relationship news Pharrell is supposed to be dating Naomi Campbell, yes the feisty model is kicking it with Skateboard P. Halle Berry is allegedly pregnant by model boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are over …now of course the bet is ‘will he go back to Brit?’ Former Bad Boy artist Cassie and Richie Avika (once bmf of Damon Dash who then went on to diss DD for sleeping with his ex girl) Nelly and Ashanti are not engaged…hmmmm not believing that just yet After breaking up with Kid Rock, Pamela Anderson was getting a lil close to Usher over the NY in Las Vegas, just speculation of course, but as we all are MORE than aware of, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Although I am sure Mommy Usher would be quick to mark Ms. Andersons cards when it comes to her money..ooops sorry son. Tyrese and Rosci from BET are also reported as being an official couple (whatever that means)
By: Rizoh Beyonce’s hopes of winning a songwriter’s award at this year’s Oscars have been deflated by a special rule in the music nomination department. Despite being listed as one of four songwriters responsible for "Dreamgirls" theme song, "Listen," Beyonce is ineligible for nomination because the motion picture academy only allows a maximum of three authors as credit. The rule, known as Rule Sixteen, stipulates that "only the principal composer(s) or songwriter(s) responsible for the conception and execution of the work asawhole shall be eligible for an award." The rule automatically eliminates partial contributors—writers not responsible for the overall design of the song—from the awards. Beyonce, who contributed a lower percentage to "Listen," was dropped from the list. The other three songwriters Henry Krieger, Anne Prevenand Scott Cutler nominated instead. Academy spokesman John Pavlik explained to the L.A. Times that the decision to exclude Beyonce came from various executive committees members. He added that "the decision always comes down to the same thing: who had the most to do with the achievement being considered. It was no different in this case." Beyonce’s PR rep Alan Nierob also confirmed that Beyonce is aware of the Academy rule that says only three songwriters can be nominated. "It’s all about percentages — how much each person contributed to the song," said Nierob. "Beyonce contributed greatly to ‘Listen,’ but her percentage is lower, so she didn’t expect to be eligible for nomination. She’s very happy that her co-writers may be recognized." As a consolation, Beyonce shares the credit with her three co-songwriters in the Golden Globe nomination for "Best Original Song." She’s also in the running for "Best Actress." The Golden Globe awards will be handed out on January 15th. The Oscars will follow in February.
By: Hot Gossip Gal OK so he had a little road rage incident last week on the Saw Mill Parkway which resulted him in throwing some napkins and breaking a leg, BUT word is he did manage to hobble away from his situation at Interscope….AT LAST. Talk on the streets is he is putting out another album as soon as April independently. Well Time is Money has been completed for the last year and a half and he constantly worked so another album from the Ghost this year shouldn’t come as a surprise.
According to TMZ, police are conducting a criminal investigation into allegations that R & B singer Tyrese punched his pregnant girlfriend twice in the stomach early this morning. Apparently Tyrese’s live-in girlfriend claimed that the two got into a heated argument around 5:30 AM at their Los Angeles home. According to TMZ’s sources, paramedics responded after Tyrese allegedly struck the woman, who is five months pregnant, twice in the stomach and then drove away from the scene.
By Quibian Salazar-Moreno Natasha made a little bit of noise with her single “Hey, Hey, Hey” last year, but she’s hoping to make a bigger splash with “So Sick” featuring The Clipse. Produced by Rodney Jerkins, he discovered Natasha while she was working in a New Jersey Subway. Apparently he was impressed with showmanship and star quality which she said that she only learned and practiced in front of a mirror at home. "I’ve never seen a new artist like Natasha," Jerkins said. "She’s already doing things that it took a decade for more established artists to learn." He signed her to his Darkchild Entertainment imprint through Jive Records and is currently recording her debut album looking to drop sometime in 2007. Check out her website at www.natashaishere.com to hear the new song with The Clipse.
