Dap C,  out of the UK called on a few associates to help him out with his up and coming track Ma Money. Weezy, Talib and Royce all agreed to feature on the joint produced by London producer Quincey Tones. Anyhow to cut a long story short, the verse Wayne recorded has somehow ended up on a Big Mike mixtape, before Dap C even had a chance to put the track out himself. Where is the love for the unsigned/emerging/new artists man? More to the point who gave Wayne’s verse to Big Mike in the first place. Not cool whoever it was.

Is it just me or does the cover of Nelly’s fifth album Brass Knuckles look a lil suspect. I mean we all know Nelly keeps his body tight but this borders on the brink of obsession. And can’t you just smell that baby oil?

I mean the only reason the finger points to Busta is because she said he had cut off his hair…but I bet there are plenty of rappers on her list.  Do we believe her? Or is she a woman who got knocked back?

OK so Rick Ross is going on about it being haters out to dethrone him as the boss of MIA (MIAMI) but those peeps over at the Smoking Gun are not playing when it comes to unearthing more info on Ross. Now they have an 86 page document that even shows his attendeance record (100%), leaving salary (just over $25,ooo) and his loyalty oath (he would shoot an inmate who tried to escape.) Would haters really go to these extremes?

Just what is going on with these MIA rappers. I think Slip n Slide need to make sure any stories fabricated about their rappers need to be air tight  before people start dishing dirt on them. Ok so we all saw Rick Ross photo-shopped to the max last week for his previous life, now it is Plies who is facing ridicule for rhyming about an existence far from his own. Plies has on more than one occasion implied (pun intended) that he has served considerable time in prison, however it has been uncovered by another website that the rapper was not actually in any trouble with police until after 2006 when he was already signed to Slip n Slide. Is this what being a rapper is all about today? Does this give people credibility?

Trick Daddy has denied any involvement in the leaking of the infamous pic of Correctional Officer Ross. Trick Daddy has implied that even bringing his name into this situation is not just effecting him, it is effecting MIA as a whole. However one thing that Trick failed to deny is the fact that Rick Ross did actually work as a prison guard as speculated. What is it about these guys? Jimmy sounds real ‘ignant’ when he discusses with Kim Osorio his opinions on Nas and his battle with Fox. Looks like pint sized rappers Jermain Dupri and his once protege Bow Wow are back to being BMFs again. Creative differences had been where the problems lay with the duo as Lil Bow Wow turned into Bow Wow however Bow Wow is adamant that JD will be on the new album ‘Pedigree’ no matter what. Bow Wow told MTV that JD was going to be on the album “even if I have to drag him.” Pedigree will be the seventh album from the rapper who got his start by being the opening act on the Chronic Tour at the age of five.

This story when I heard it really bothered me. Not sure if its because it involves one of my fave live venues in NYC where I have seen many a Hip-Hop artist rock the stage to an appreciative crowd, or perhaps it is because this sh*t is happening more and more every day. Last night in NYC a group of men allegedly began a fight with Max B and his entourage as the Dipset affiliate was  performing at the legendary SOBs in lower Manhattan. During the fracas shots were fired which had revelers exiting the club pretty fast. As of now there have been no reports of injuries. Max was performing at an event organized by hot 97 the Who’s Next Event. More on this as it comes in.

 I am very slow in posting this to the site, but I was having a few technical issues.
