He needs to be doing a lot more than crossing his fingers this time. Luck is really running out for DMX who was arrested in Phoenix for giving a hospital a name and Social Security number that mos def weren’t that of Earl Simmons to pay for medical expenses yesterday. Using the name Troy Jones back in April of this year to pay the seven and a half g bill, DMX was arrested in the Mall on Saturday. How low is this dude going to go. This is a damn shame getting picked up in the mall of all places. Someone has to have got this shit on their cell phone camera.
Not sure if this is true or not right now but a couple of people have hit me up saying that Lil Scrappy was stabbed in Dekalb County tonight but was arrested by cops once they realized his injuries weren’t life threatening. Let’s see what the morning brings on this.
All can’t be happy in the Aftermath Utopia after Dr Dre’s daughter Minaj has leaked a lil of her tell all docu-lotsa-drama-mentary. The chick is bitter because her Daddy didn’t put her on and watching this sneak peek I think Dre would have been better putting the chick in dance class than letting her in the studio. The joys of parenting. Check out the video inside

Turns out Curtis must have really upset Wu Tang member GZA. He told Miss Info that he was going to ‘annihilate’ 50 on a track he has penned titled Paper Plates…hmmm no disrespect but what is this all about, does GZA have an album coming out and need a lil bit of PR or something, or did I fall asleep and miss a disagreement between the two to encourage this lyrical attack from GZA?

Ok ok so here we go with the reality TV buzz again. So Diddy got himself another show which we talked on earlier this week, but he is not the only one to be getting busy on camera (oh yeah and big shouts out to him for the Emmy nods his Raisin in the Sun got too.)His long time Boo and momma to three of his kids is also getting ready to do some shooting of her own. Turns out Lifestyle are very interested in what it is to be Kim Porter, the single mom who gets a fat check each month from her on/off again bab daddy. Not hating or anything, well yeah maybe I am, but who gives a sh*t about how Kim Porter is living? What has this chick done to warrant a show? I mean i frown at a lot of these reality shows, but at least most of the time we see things that may be of interest, Keyshia Cole, Rev Run even Flavor of Love was amusing. What we gonna see on this one that we don’t read about every day? Her change the babies diapers? Go to the store? It’s not like this chick works as a model anymore, so what are we going to be watching? You know Diddy is going to be exec producing that too lol. So basically what we will be watching is some glamorous baby momma trying to have us relate to her world….hmmm yeah ok. Let’s hope her parenting skills are better than those she used to try and keep her man.

Turns out that Mobb Deep are suing their former manager Norman Bell, known industry wise as Purfek Storm for back royalties of over a million bucks. This comes after the somewhat suspicious manager who is also responsible for messing up Sam Scarfo’s career used tracks from the Mobb Deep vault for various ‘best of’ albums without their consent. Prodigy and Havoc want to get paid …and rightly so
A former member of the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan is afraid that associates of the group are trying to get him and he has asked the Jersey City police for protection.
U-God, whose real name is Lamont Hawkins, contacted police on June 8 saying he’s suing the band for about $180,000 and he thinks that’s why various men in various vehicles have been following him from his Manhattan recording studio to his home in the Newport section of Jersey City, police said.He said that for the past two months cars with Pennsylvania, New Jersey or New York plates have followed him numerous times, but he didn’t contact authorities sooner because he distrusts police. On one occasion he parked in the garage of his River Court building and when he walked out he saw two men get out of a car across the street, police said. One of them gestured toward his waistband as though threatening that he had a weapon, U-God told the cops. One time a driver tried to follow U-God’s vehicle into the garage, but was unsuccessful, he told police, adding that sometimes the drivers roll down a window and nod at him.The man who wrote “Kick Azz,” “I’m Talkin’ to You,” “Dance With a Gangsta,” “Ghetto Gutter,” “Rumble,” and “Heart of Stone” said he felt threatened and couldn’t take it any more so he went to police for help. He filed a suspicious persons report. No one has been charged, police said.U-God could not be reached for comment yesterday.U-God said he toured Europe with the Wu-Tang Clan in January and February and they owed him about $180,000, so he filed a lawsuit in Manhattan. U-God said he thinks the incidents may be in retaliation for the lawsuit. He told police he cannot identify any of the drivers that he said followed him.
There is nothing worse to deal with than a woman scorned and Curtis Jackson knows this probably better than anyone. His estranged baby momma is now suing 50 for 50, although we gotta add six zeros to the amount Thompkins is looking for. In the words of the greatest Mo Money Mo Problems. Is this woman thinking of the most important factor here? Her son perhaps? No matter what 50 will do right by his son, always has, always will. So just who is this money for?
And there I was thinking it was only the strippers that fought in the bathrooms of strip clubs. A suit filed in a court on Thursday shot that idea to the ground when a guy going by the name of Miad Jarbou accused Detroit’s golden boy Eminem of smacking him in the face. Jarbou is looking for $25,000 for the slap which happened in a strip joint on Eight Mile back in 2006. No-one from the Shady camp has yet to comment.
After the sun comes the rain right…well looking that way for Jay Z. His 99 Problems might have re-entered the singles charts again this week after his performance at Glastonbury this past weekend but his staff at the 40/40 Club in NYC are still bitching and moaning that the Jigga Man isn’t going to be nominated for Employer of the Month any time soon. But I gotta say this, the wait staff and everyone are complaining that they have to work for tips, but isn’t that the case in all NYC restaurants anyway. Working for an A Lister doesn’t mean A List wages folks..obviously. Anyhow this isn’t the first time people have been screaming on Jay about the wages down there, but remember Jay is not really the owner, he is just one of the money men involved when the shit hits the fan
Looks like Simon Cowell has had quite enough of American Idol contests trying to sing songs penned by Alicia Keys. The straight talking Brit has gone ahead and banned all Alicia Songs. It had originally been just Falling banned from the show that has launched the careers of Young Dro’s gal, Fantasia (yup they are still going strong) and Carrie Underwood. I mean you really can’t blame him really as we have heard many a hopeful kill and bury that track. But Cowell is stamping his foot and just saying NO NO NO to anything from Ms Keys for future editions of the show.
Looks like legendary Hot 97 DJ has aligned himself with 50 Cent as the battle between 50 and Young Buck heats up. Flex had a few words for those big time rappers who seem to put on dudes that aren’t necessarily going to act accordingly…don’t sign em. The basis for Flex siding with Curtis…one word…loyalty. “Unfortunately, I can’t move with Young Buck because I’m on that loyalty thing, man,” were the words Flex used.
