This year marked the legendary The Rock Steady Crew’s 35th Anniversary. To celebrate, they threw a concert in Lincoln Park in Newark NJ. Crazy Legs, Popmaster Fabel, Redman, Mr Cheeks, Torae, Nitty Scott, Maffew Ragazino, TSA, Rasheed Chappell, Rah DIgga, Consequnece, DJ Evil Dee, DJ JS 1, and The Beatnuts were in attendance. To celebrate NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving’s success in the NBA this year, Alife teamed up with Pepsi Max, the A$AP Mob, and French Montana for what should’ve been a crazy night. Unfortunately, Irving and the A$AP Mob were unable to attend. Chief Keef, however, came to the rescue and made a surprise performance. All photos by Bernard Smalls.

To celebrate the release of their album “Self Made Vol. 2,” Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group set up a pop-up shop at Alife in NYC. Ross, Stalley, Meek Mill, Omarion, and Wale were all in attendance, signing albums and meeting fans. During the event, the group also performed a couple of tracks off the album.
