Wherever Scott Storch is, he should stay there. The platinum producer is somewhere MIA as the bank with whom he mortgaged his lavish mansion in Miami are about to foreclose on the property any day now. With over a year of unpaid mortgaged payments hanging over his head looks like the sun is setting on Storch’s once extravagant lifestyle.Storch who starting producing back in 1993 as part of the Roots has worked with various A List artists such as 50 Cent, Eve, Christina Aguillera with whom he had a dispute when the singer refused to fly him and his entourage out to work on her Back To Basics album.

I am very slow in posting this to the site, but I was having a few technical issues. Anyhow this is possibly the first time I have ever seen Wendy at a loss for words…at least she didn’t buy into the provocation from Omarosa and get all mouthy like she might on her radio show, becasue as well know those boys over at FOX 5 are not going to allow that to go down without Wendy hearing……YOU’RE FIRED
Now this is one book I have been waiting for. September will see Kim Osorio, the former EIC of the Source release her book Straight from the Source: An Expose from the Former Editor in Chief of the Hip-Hop Bible. The book will throw light on all the events that led up to the courtroom drama between herself and former owners Dave Mays and Benzino, a drama that resulted in Osorio being awarded $7.5 million worth of damages for charges such as defamation and sexual discrimination.Should be some good reading
Rapper Kid Cudi is slowly plotting his takeover of hip-hop with his clever, slow raps and his introspective singing. Cudi is originally from Ohio before he moved to NYC, and he is currently signed to A-Trak’s label, Fool’s Gold Records. After releasing a few tracks to the Internet over the past months, Cudi has even gained the respect of Kanye West, as he called Cudi the “Best New Artist” on his personal blog.Download his 10 Deep-sponsored mixtape here: http://sharebee.com/7e3ff6d8
IN STORES July 22nd Diplomat/Dipset member Hell Rell launches the highly anticipated video for “Get Ready,” the bangin’ first single off of the forthcoming release: July 22nd’s “Black Mask Black Gloves (The Ruga Edition).” No stranger to success, Rell has appeared on numerous frontline Dipset albums and mixtapes and is widely considered one of the rawest emcees in the game. Directed by DanTheMan (Rick Ross, Maino, Prodigy), “Get Ready” is classic Dipset: photographic montages of New York streets, entourage, jewelry, cars and neighborhood kids…the gritty essence and imagery of street life. Also featuring a cameo from Dipset exec and impresario DukeDaGod, “Get Ready” is Rell’s hard hitting return to the spotlight and a reminder that the Dips ain’t going nowhere.
Looks like Faith Evans in the next in line to tell all in a book. However this chick does have a story to tell and you know this isn’t going to be in anyway like some Carmen Bryant/Karrine Steffans bs. Faith hasn’t really given any indication as to what is going to be included in the 300 plus page book…but we know she is going to give up something on Big and Pac right? Anyhow the book will be out late August http://www.ihiphop.com/content/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/faith.jpg keep the faith
A man with a plan and a hell of a way of getting his point across is Nyoil, the Staten Island based rapper who co -presents the BBC World Service show – WORLD HAVE YOUR SAY. With over 30 million people all over the world listening in to the show Nyoil has given people something to feast on talking about topics such as gentrification in Harlem and the recent debacle with Jesse Jackson and Presidential candidate Barack Obama. And mass media says Hip-Hop doesn’t have a voice…well Nyoil is proving to millions it really does.

A former member of the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan is afraid that associates of the group are trying to get him and he has asked the Jersey City police for protection. U-God, whose real name is Lamont Hawkins, contacted police on June 8 saying he’s suing the band for about $180,000 and he thinks that’s why various men in various vehicles have been following him from his Manhattan recording studio to his home in the Newport section of Jersey City, police said.He said that for the past two months cars with Pennsylvania, New Jersey or New York plates have followed him numerous times, but he didn’t contact authorities sooner because he distrusts police. On one occasion he parked in the garage of his River Court building and when he walked out he saw two men get out of a car across the street, police said. One of them gestured toward his waistband as though threatening that he had a weapon, U-God told the cops. One time a driver tried to follow U-God’s vehicle into the garage, but was unsuccessful, he told police, adding that sometimes the drivers roll down a window and nod at him.The man who wrote “Kick Azz,” “I’m Talkin’ to You,” “Dance With a Gangsta,” “Ghetto Gutter,” “Rumble,” and “Heart of Stone” said he felt threatened and couldn’t take it any more so he went to police for help. He filed a suspicious persons report. No one has been charged, police said.U-God could not be reached for comment yesterday.U-God said he toured Europe with the Wu-Tang Clan in January and February and they owed him about $180,000, so he filed a lawsuit in Manhattan. U-God said he thinks the incidents may be in retaliation for the lawsuit. He told police he cannot identify any of the drivers that he said followed him.
