Not quite sure if this is for real or not, but word is that Irv Gotti has snatched up Busta after supposedly working out a deal with Dr. Dre to let Bussa Bus out of his contract over at Aftermath/Interscope. The deal between Busta and Irv is a distribution deal which will take Flipmode through to 2014. Do people even look that far into the future today?

There has been a lil outrage at this change in direction by the Playboy boss with people stating ‘the party is about status and not about money.’ Well things are obviously changing. The entire Dipset crew, including Cam’Ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, have been struggling for a little while now. After Jim’s subpar performance with his last solo and Byrdgang album, and with Cam’Ron getting lyrically assaulted by 50 Cent, the crew that once brought us “Oh Boy” and other Rocafella smashes has hit hard times. Dipset’s golden boy was always Juelz, and after waiting and waiting for the mysterious Juelz/Lil’ Wayne album, and for a solo comeback from Juelz, fans may actually have reason to get excited. According to Miss Info, Cam’Ron has sold Juelz’s contract to Def Jam Records for $2 million and Juelz has signed a 50/50 deal with the label.Juelz also went on to tell Miss Info his mixtape, The Reagan Era, and his album, Born to Lose, Built to Win, should be dropping soon. Always one to encourage a change here and there, Snoop Dogg is looking to star in a Bollyhood movie after recording a track for the soundtrack of Singh is Kinng which will be hitting the big screen in August. The movie was directed by Anees Bazmee and was filmed primarily on location in Australia, a country which has mixed opinions of the Long Beach rapper. However Snoop hopes that his contribution to the up and coming movie will allow him present himself to India as more than a rapper. Snoop has already been cast in various movies in the US including Baby Boy, Training Day, The Wash and Soul Plane.
Though this is old news to most, rap duo Kidz in the Hall was involved in an altercation the other night in Tempe, Arizona. The duo has been picking up major recognition recently due to their new album, The In Crowd. The album features Travis McCoy, Estelle and Big Pooh among others, and the infectious and oft-remixed “Drivin’ Down the Block.” According to details that have emerged thus far, Double O was grabbed by police and thrown to the ground by several bouncers and security guards. At that point, Double O was supposedly kicked and punched as he laid on the ground. Then, Naledge, the other half of the duo, tried to intervene and got arrested. Soon after, Double O was arrested as well. Also according to emerged details, Double O was hospitalized after the incident and the duo missed their scheduled stop with Rock the Bells in Maryland. OK so Rick Ross is going on about it being haters out to dethrone him as the boss of MIA (MIAMI) but those peeps over at the Smoking Gun are not playing when it comes to unearthing more info on Ross. Now they have an 86 page document that even shows his attendeance record (100%), leaving salary (just over $25,ooo) and his loyalty oath (he would shoot an inmate who tried to escape.) Would haters really go to these extremes?
Just what is going on with these MIA rappers. I think Slip n Slide need to make sure any stories fabricated about their rappers need to be air tight before people start dishing dirt on them. Ok so we all saw Rick Ross photo-shopped to the max last week for his previous life, now it is Plies who is facing ridicule for rhyming about an existence far from his own. Plies has on more than one occasion implied (pun intended) that he has served considerable time in prison, however it has been uncovered by another website that the rapper was not actually in any trouble with police until after 2006 when he was already signed to Slip n Slide. Is this what being a rapper is all about today? Does this give people credibility?
What is it about these guys? Jimmy sounds real ‘ignant’ when he discusses with Kim Osorio his opinions on Nas and his battle with Fox. Some people should be seen and not heard, but with the face on Jimmy in this video, I don’t think I want to see or hear him. Cheer up Jim, are things really that bad?
Was trick Daddy the one who leaked the pics of Correctional Officer Ross to the net? I doubt it. This story has been around way before the pics surfaced really and even though Trick Daddy who has held it down in MIA for a while may have had his ego dented by Ross’s success as of late, I don’t think Trick would stoop to that level. Thats what the word is anyhow, this story should make a very interesting theme for Kim Porter’s reality show. I am sure Kim is drowning her sorrows with her paternity lawyers and shots of patron right about now. How long did she wait for Diddy to pop the question? How many kids later? All I can say is I hope his Momma gets a new stylist before the wedding happens as she was out in the Hamptons at some Simmons affair looking horrific in this purple get up.
Wherever Scott Storch is, he should stay there. The platinum producer is somewhere MIA as the bank with whom he mortgaged his lavish mansion in Miami are about to foreclose on the property any day now. With over a year of unpaid mortgaged payments hanging over his head looks like the sun is setting on Storch’s once extravagant lifestyle.Storch who starting producing back in 1993 as part of the Roots has worked with various A List artists such as 50 Cent, Eve, Christina Aguillera with whom he had a dispute when the singer refused to fly him and his entourage out to work on her Back To Basics album.
