The legendary parties held at the home of Hugh Hefner and his ‘bunnies’ have always been the event many hope to get an invite too, but seldom to. It has always been literally a VIP list dripping with a who’s who in Hollywood. Well with us battling a recession it looks like Hugh and his gals are like the rest of us feeling the pinch when it comes to the pennies. For the first time in over 27 years the Playboy Mansion is allowing your everyday man or woman the opportunity to partake in the Annual Midsummer’s Ball taking place on August 9th…the cost…$5,000. There has been a lil outrage at this change in direction by the Playboy boss with people stating ‘the party is about status and not about money.’ Well things are obviously changing. There has been no comment from inside the Bunny House on this change in events.
The movie which has been written by Cheo Hodari Coker and Reggie Rock Blythewood has been in the works for over three years now. One of the biggest obstacles faced was filling the role of the Notorious BIG. Thousands of Biggie hopefuls turned up at the various castings throughout the country but it was only when Brooklyn rapper Gravy turned up did the production crew finally feel that they had their leading man.Sean Kingston, the young protege of JR Rotem had said in an interview last year that he was actually playing the role of Biggie, but this was denied by Fox Searchlight and the production team. It was shortly after this that Gravy was cast. Gravy is no stranger to being in the spotlight after being shot on the way to Hot 97 to do an interview with Funk Master Flex back in 2006. The rapper who attended the interview and was then taken to St Vincents Hospital in NYC was later banned from the Hot 97 studios due to the shooting.
Always one to encourage a change here and there, Snoop Dogg is looking to star in a Bollyhood movie after recording a track for the soundtrack of Singh is Kinng which will be hitting the big screen in August. The movie was directed by Anees Bazmee and was filmed primarily on location in Australia, a country which has mixed opinions of the Long Beach rapper. However Snoop hopes that his contribution to the up and coming movie will allow him present himself to India as more than a rapper.
Snoop has already been cast in various movies in the US including Baby Boy, Training Day, The Wash and Soul Plane.
Will Smith has made the most money out of Hollywood men during the 07/08 period according to Forbes. Smith who has been featured in various box office smashes this year including I am Legend and Hancock has accumulated over $80 million for himself and generated close to a billion dollars in revenue worldwide for both movies combined. No wonder he and Jada always have smiles on their faces.

Well they have made it official, Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson have finally put to rest all the rumors by announcing that they are a couple. To seal the deal, Sam bought her girl a $11,000 Cartier ring which is said to display their commitment to each other. I guess messing with Sam has cut back on those rehab bills for Lohan as she has been on best behavior since the two started licking dating each other.
