Harlem’s new king, Mickey Factz, is getting major buzz and has been popping up everywhere, from GIANT Magazine to Complex to XXL to just about every hip-hop blog on the Internet. Mickey is a true wordsmith and is known for throwing freestyles left and right about…anything. There was a video of him freestyling to a Sean C. and LV track, so there’s som excitement over Mickey’s collabs. Mickey has been releasing one song a week for almost a year now, and his second collection of “leaks” can be downloaded below in mixtape form. The mixtape is fittingly titled The Leak 2. Enjoy and look for more from Mickey in the near future.

Here is a new song off of Big Boi’s official solo debut (Speakerboxx does not really count). It’s in the same lane he is known to be in – a song 808-heavy and all about flossin’. “Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty” is coming soon and hopefully the album will be more of what we’ve heard so far.

If you didn’t catch the MTV VMA’s last night – there were a few highlights you should catch on the rerun. Wayne performed with T-Pain, Travis Barker & DJ AM were the house band, Britney Spears won three awards, and Kanye absolutely shut the house down with his new single, “Love Lockdown.” Supposedly the new track is off his new album, set to drop by December. He had an enormous stage backdrop and had what seemed like a 30-piece drumline – clearly inspired by China’s Opening Ceremony for the Olympics.

Looks like Kanye is ready to drop his next project Good Ass Job in December. He was giving people a sneak peek into a new song from his up and coming release last week. The first single from the project is Love Lock Down. I am sure this will be good news to certain ears.
