GAME BRINGS BUCK OUT ON STAGE IN NYC

If you were at the Irving Plaza last night watching Game perform were in for a serious treat. The Compton rapper was obviously sending out a few signs with those who accompanied him on stage as he and his Black Wall Street crew celebrated the release of his third album LAX which hit shelves yesterday. Game was joined by plenty of NY rappers including Jim Jones, Maino, Fat Joe, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. But surprisingly enough I thought was the presence of Kool Herc who Game brought out on stage at the packed out show. Joe Budden was also in the house and of course so was  the other G Unit member who jumped ship…Young Buck. Just wouldn’t have been a show if the two out of towners didn’t mention former label mates 50, Banks and Yayo of course. But all in all a good night appeared to be had by all and Buck was quick to tell Joe he had no beef. So I guess 50 was really pulling strings on the Elephant in the Sand mixtape which was only put out a few months back where Buck openly dissed Joey Crack. Hmmm ok

TI HEATED ABOUT LEAKED TRACK

Looks like the leak of Swagga Like Us has maddened one of the four artists present. With a one year sentence on the horizon you can kind of understand why Tip is a lil heated about the track featuring himself, Weezy, Kanye and Jigga. The track which has had mixed reviews from fans and the industry was not supposed to be available until late next month according to TI who had this to say on the subject  ‘Wait till the cake comes out the kitchen before you eat it. That’s like a kid who sees his toys before Christmas; it takes away from me and from the fans as well.’ Ahh well as we all know the leak is more guaranteed that a hit is these days.

“Living Your Life”-T.I. ft Rihanna (Prod. Just Blaze)

This is a hot trio, I have to admit. I really like the idea of TI rapping over a Just Blaze beat, and I assume he can kill it like most other rappers Justin works with. And Rihanna is always good on collabs – it seems that she never learned how to make a record not a hit. Download below and let us know what you think of TI‘s latest track off Paper Trail. Very positive feel to this track. perspective‘s two cents:  I fixed the link, and threw in a preview link as well..  Just Blaze is sampling some techno song and it’s driving me crazy that I can’t figure out which one.   It’s kind of intersting how T.I.’s style has evolved from Trap Muzik (his best album hands down) to Paper Trail.  He’s just getting his grown man on as he should. Illa J Drops “We Here”

After J Dilla’s untimely death a few years back, there’s been much speculation as to who would carry on the legacy. DJ Mick Boogie used some of his tracks and did a mixtape with Busta Rhymes, which was a pretty nice big-up, but since then there hasn’t been anything too major, besides some unreleased tracks produced by Dilla for MF Doom and Ghostface. Now, Dilla’s little brother is apparently carrying on the Yancey tradition and is rapping over big brother’s tracks. The latest is entitled “Illa J,” available for download below. The album is entitled “Yancey Brothers,” I believe. Let us know what you think if little man is worthy of the great one’s tracks. Illa J – “We Here”(produced by J Dilla) To Preview Track Click Here

Cool James and 50 Let Their Heart Beat

LL has been releasing some tracks from his upcoming final album Exit 13 lately, and the latest installment is “Feel My Heart Beat” featuring 50 Cent. The track is pretty bouncy and sound like it could be a single, and 50 lends yet another quality hook to his cohort. The idea of the song is LL hitting on a girl, apparently. I have to admit, I hate when rappers have wives and children and are still rapping about this shit, but so be it. He’s not the first, and he won’t be the last. So download the track below and let us know what you guys think. perspective‘s two cents:  Twenty bucks says these guys spent 20 minutes in front of the mirror admiring each others pecs, and then made out just to see what it would feel like. 88-Keys and Kanye Drop “Stay Up (Viagra)”

Last year, Kanye’s Can’t Tell Me Nothing Mixtape featured some of his own material and some quality songs from cohorts like Common, Kweli and 88-Keys. One track was entitled “Stay Up,” and featured a verse from Yeezy and a poem from Malik Yusef. Now, as I said in a recent post, 88 is prepping his debut album, and what seems to be the first single has been dropped – “Stay Up.” Download the full version below and tell us what you think about the collaboration.
