For this installment of iHipHop’s Instagram Babe of the Week we have Niykee Heaton, the South African-born, Illinois-raised singer/songwriter who hit it big when she did an acoustic cover of Chief Keef’s “Love Sosa” which has since garnered well over two million views. In turn Niykee caught the attention of record labels and inked a deal with All Def Digital and Capitol Records. But Niykee is perhaps best known for her much lurked Instagram account, which has over 880k followers. And with a quick glance at her account it isn’t a shocker why her good looks overshadow her musicial abilities. Niykee Heaton is notorious for setting out #ThirstTraps and it isn’t difficult seeing as how she is one of the finest babes out. In the slideshow we’ve complied a healthy collection of Niykee’s best Instagram pics. Get at it after the jump.
On Monday December 1, 2014 Power 105.1 Sweden’s premiere hip-hop export Yung Lean hit the stage at NYC’s Webster Hall with Sad Boys, Gravity Boys, and Goth Money Records. iHipHop was on hand to document the event. Thanksgiving is here! Thanksgiving is here! But it’s not all fun and games and stuffing your face with food. While we sit comfortably in our humble abode with our loved ones, celebrating with a feast, there are those who go out and make sure to help those in need. Sadly, however, rappers aren’t exactly the first profession that’d cross your mind as being “helpful” as these are merely gangsters, drug dealers, and entertainers, right? Wrong. For example Birdman and Cash Money are participating in their 20th annual Turkey Giveaway this week. And that’s not all, as rappers like Jeezy, T.I., and Ludacris regularly find themselves helping local Atlanta natives enjoy their Thanksgiving as well. So, we here at iHipHop decided we’d attempt to dispel the myths of rappers being careless and lazy, and showcase their good deeds, by assembling a picture slideshow of them giving back on Thanksgiving. Enjoy and happy Thanksgiving!
The Ferguson grand jury decision to not indict Officer Darren Wilson in the August death of Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager who was shot and killed after an encounter with police, has sent shockwaves across the world. Many of those whom have ties to the hip-hop community were extremely upset and took to the internet to share their grievances, questioning when justice will be served. Everyone from T.I. to El-P to Lord Jamar sounded off, letting their voice be heard. Azealia Banks was perhaps the most controversial in her remarks regarding the Ferguson grand jury decision, lambasting the decision by writing “I might have to kill one of these crackers in their sleep !!” in addition to other inflammatory statements. Check out what rappers had to say on the Ferguson grand jury after the jump.

Last Thursday we introduced a new weekly segment here at iHipHop in which we post 25 old school hip-hop photos as part of the internet phenomena known as Throwback Thursday. And for our second installment of #ThrowbackThursday we again have scoured the deepest, darkest depths of the ‘net to bring you more vintage rap photos you’ve probably never seen before. This week we’ve got some goodies, for sure. Mark Wahlberg playing ball with Will Smith, Wesley Snipes, OutKast, Mya, and L.A. Reid circa 1996, Bun B and Pimp C in high school, and Prodigy of Mobb Deep like you’ve never seen him! Peep the photos after the jump. Enjoy!
Throwback Thursday. Everyone and their mother partakes in the weekly internet phenomena that is sweeping the Western world, in which one shares old school images on various popular social networking sites (most notably Instagram). And perhaps the genre of music to receive the most love via this tradition is hip-hop, as many (including the artists themselves) share vintage snaps of various rap acts over the decades. Some even dating back to its infancy. So, we here at iHipHop, being the obsessive rap fans that we are, have decided we would partake in this lore as well and share 25 old school hip-hop photos each and every Thursday. This week we’ve got some goodies, including photos of a young Kanye West, Nas & Jay Z before the beef, and even Allen Iverson chillin’ with some notable rappers of the 2000s. Check them all out after the jump! Enjoy.
Kim Kardashian isn’t playing around, boys. With the internet endlessly thirstin’ over Mrs. West’s velumpious derrière, the celebutante decided to bare it all (yes, all) for Paper magazine’s latest cover shoot. That’s the edited version of the cover above just in case your mother is in the room and after the jump ya’ll can peep every photo from the shoot 100% unedited. That means these photos are absolutely NSFW (not safe for work, newbie) unless you’ve got a kickass boss who doesn’t care about seeing a bare bottom and a nip… or two. After the jump!
