By: Dee I know I’m not the only who’s seen rapper Remy Ma on various occasions and wondered why her friends let her come out the house looking crazy like that. Then I recently found out that it’s her friend who is styling her. Karu Daniels of AOL Black Voices caught up with her friend/stylist, Monica Smith and talked to her about Remy’s style. She basically said that Remy doesn’t really like a lot of colors and the stand out thing about Remy is her black and blonde hair.I understand wanting to work with a friend because she knows you better than anyone else. By: Dee Rumor has it that Jermaine Dupri is threatening to quit his job as president over at Virgin Records because he’s blames them for his girlfriend, Janet Jackson’s poor record sales. He believes they could have done a better job at promoting the album and could have gotten her more radio airplay. Though promotioncould bea factor in Janet’s low sales (even though she did Oprah, and what’s bigger than that), I think the biggest setback was releasing those 2 lacklustor singles. Not saying that the songs were bad, I just don’t think they were good enough to be used as comeback singles. It also didn’t help that the album basically got bad reviews across the board. In LA, over 200 celebrities showed up for the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards honoring the late Salvatore Ferragamo. Eva Mendes showed off her sexy body and million dollar smile while presenting the award to the Ferragamo family. Kanye, looking dapper arrived with beautiful fiance Alexis, who seems to be accompanying him across the globe from NYC to Paris and LA. Why is Kanye so polished? Generally, he is known for putting together eccentric outfits. Could Alexis be influencing his style?

All Hip Hop came out in NYC when the Bacardi Mojito Music Cafe hosted Lloyd Banks’ album release party for his new album "Rotten Apple." His boy 50 was there to show support, along with Mobb Deep, 40 Glock, Tony Yayo and a bunch of others. The party was in full swing as fans were fighting to get in. Inside, the music was ridiculous and champagne was flowing as everyone toasted to Banks’ success.

Beyonce took no chances, and accompanied Jay Z to South Africa where he is set to perform with Def Jam sweetheart Rihanna. Jay and Beyonce took some time for themselves and managed to spend a couple of hours visiting local villages. Jay-Z’s performances start Wednesday in Cape Town, then move to Durban on Friday, and ends in Johannesburg on Saturday.

All hip hop turned out Saturday night in NYC for VH1′s annual hip hop awards. Diddy performed along with Lil Kim, KRS1, and Young Jeezy Also in the house were Fat Joe, Talib Kweli, and The Roots.
