iHipHop AdminEven if he’s not making money off the music at the moment, 50 is banking off of his recent investment. Last year he entered into an agreement with bottled water company Glaceau that allowed them to use his name and image in marketing the product in exchange for a piece of the company. The Vitamin Water brand blew up and Coca-Cola became interested.
Last month the soda empire bought Glaceau for a cool $4.1 billion, leaving fans wondering how much 50 would get from that. Published reports said that 50 had a 10 percent stake in the company and was going to see about $400 million. But in actuality, 50 only has around a 2 percent stake in the company and is walking away with a $100 million from the deal. Still, that’s not too shabby.

When 50cent first came out he was rapping about the same stuff in the same way and just about everyone loved him. Now that he is successful, he sucks? I tell you “niggers” need to stop hating on successful people just because they don’t have the determination to be successful. Me, I give props when they are do. 50 cent is the smartest business rapper that our generation have ever seen and the concepts of his raps are creatively brilliant. Investing in Vitamin Water was the smartest business move any celebrity has made in a while, do your research. So every time you see “Vitamin Water” think of 50 cent because it is in just about every store in the country. That’s whats wrong with black people today, how do you expect to become successful when you are jealous of successfuls’ peoples success? first off jay-z is the smartest business man of our generation. succesful record label, succesful clothing line,first non-athlete with his own sneak (not to mention:it sold out in three countries), basketball team, 40/40, his own truck color – the list goes on – i respect 50″s business moves, but jay paved the way – give respect where it is due
