Drake’s latest album, “Certified Lover Boy,” has a hall of fame tracklist. From Jay-Z to Travis Scott, he’s recruited a few rap legends for the 21-track project. The majority of the album has soulful, airy production, which puts Drake right in his element. As a whole, the album leans more towards R&B than rap, but he tastefully sprinkles in a little bit of everything. Check out the album now.
“Donda” sees Kanye fuse a wide-variety of genres into an incredibly cohesive and dynamic album. He’s got R&B, drill, trap, and soul production scattered throughout the album, using tasteful features from the likes of The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and many more to bring his latest album to life. It’s an album that will take a few listens to digest and it’s hard to say which songs will stand the test of time – they all have mainstream potential, but any of the 27 tracks could become instant classics.
Finally, Meek Mill drops off his latest single with Lil Uzi Vert. Together, the Philly natives go back and forth on a dynamic trap beat. It seems like Meek is gearing up for his next project with all of the singles he’s released lately. We’ll keep an eye on his next moves.
