Featuring Big Sean, Lil Durk, Bryson Tiller, and more.

The last national summer holiday is upon us, which is of course bitter-sweet territory, but instead of dreading the cold months ahead, relish in the closing days of warmth. Whether you’re heading to the beach, kicking back at the pool, hanging with friends, enjoy this Labor Day Weekend — lord knows everyone deserves it after this hellish year.

But in order to properly celebrate, you’ll need the right playlist. Fear not — DJ Forever Cold is back once again to present you with the ultimate weekend soundtrack, the 9/4 Forever Cold❄️ edition.

Headlining this week’s playlist are: Big Sean, 42 Dugg, Lil Durk, Bryson Tiller.

It’d been three-years since Big Sean released a solo studio LP (I Decided.), leaving fans anxiously awaiting his album return. Today, that fateful day has finally arrived — Big Sean has gifted the music community with Detroit 2

Coming in at a loaded 21-tracks, 71-minutes, Big Sean’s fifth studio album should be consumed with a fire extinguisher nearby — yes, it’s that hot. A surplus of superior writtens coupled with a heightened musical sensibility positions Detroit 2 as one of the year’s finer albums. Joining Sean Don on this quest is a unique collection of artists, such as Nipsey Hussle, Young Thug, Jhené Aiko, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and more; Dave Chappelle and Erykah Badu deliver narrations, as well.

The tracks “Lucky Me,” “Respect It,” “Harder Than My Demons,” and “Deep Reverence” have made this week’s list.

Staying in Detroit, the furiously-rising 42 Dugg partnered with Marshmello earlier this week on their banger, “Baggin.” The collab pair 42 Dugg’s street-certified wisdom with Marshmello’s lush production to create a track that we’re confident you’ll love.

Perpetuating the Midwest soul, arguably the new face of hip-hop, Lil Durk, continues his triumphant 2020 with his new single, “The Voice.” An aptly-titled single, given Durk’s street ambassador position, the Chicago native’s latest single finds the protagonist playing the conduit between commercial prowess and street loyalty.

Last, but certainly not least, the ever-elusive Bryson Tiller ended his silence by releasing a new single and video, “Inhale.” In classic Tiller fashion, his new release displays his preternatural crooning chops and ability to craft an honest love ballad.

Other artists to make this week’s Forever Cold❄️ playlist include: 03 Greedo, FXXXXY, A Boogie, Don Q, Trap Manny, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Snoop Dogg, Buddy, and Tinashe.
