Borrowing his own verse from N.W.A’s “Fuck tha Police” for the chorus on “Endangered Species (Tales From The Darkside)” Ice Cube equates minorities to endangered species all thanks to police misconduct. Ice Cube is at his most street level on the track, violently lashing out against the injustice in the police force. It also doesn’t hurt that Chuck D jumps on the track to get a piece of the action.

New Music: Mick Jenkins – “11”

Have you been fiending some new Mick Jenkins? Yeah, we have been too. Following his breakout mixtape The Water[s] from earlier this year Jenkins has been relatively quiet. Sure, he's dropped some dope features here and there as well as various loosies (including the very good "Fate") but we've been craving some solo Jenkins material. But it looks like today we're receiving a treat in "11" a new solo Mick Jenkins cut. Produced by NIFDproductions, the powerful track is named after the amount of times Staten Island native Eric Garner said "I can't breathe" before his untimely death at the hands of police officers. New Music: Stream OG Maco’s New BREATHE EP

OG Maco, the New Atlanta rapper who is perhaps best known for his viral smash "U Guessed It" from earlier this year, has just released his BREATHE EP, the followup to his aggressive and uncompromising OG Maco EP. The BREATHE EP drastically differs from Maco's previous aforementioned music in that it finds Maco rapping with a clear mind, on civil rights issues in America right now (those being the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, respectively.) The three tracks "Get Down," "Do Better," and "Riot" are undoubtedly OG Maco's most introspective moments in his short catalog and it's refreshing to hear a quintessential "trap rapper" attempt something different for a change. Wu-Tang Clan get all political and topical with their music video for "A Better Tomorrow" the title track from their new album, which you can stream in full right here. For "A Better Tomorrow," the Clan utilizes scenes of protesters in Ferguson and New York reacting to the deaths of Mike Brown and Eric Garner, respectively. In addition the visuals include President Barack Obama's reaction to the events. It closes with a list of people who were reportedly killed by police. Hip-Hop Reacts: Rappers Share Their Thoughts on the Ferguson Grand Jury Decision

The Ferguson grand jury decision to not indict Officer Darren Wilson in the August death of Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager who was shot and killed after an encounter with police, has sent shockwaves across the world. Many of those whom have ties to the hip-hop community were extremely upset and took to the internet to share their grievances, questioning when justice will be served. Everyone from T.I. to El-P to Lord Jamar sounded off, letting their voice be heard. Azealia Banks was perhaps the most controversial in her remarks regarding the Ferguson grand jury decision, lambasting the decision by writing "I might have to kill one of these crackers in their sleep !!" in addition to other inflammatory statements. Video: Killer Mike on Ferguson Grand Jury: “It Is Us Against the Motherf**king Machine”

Last night, a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri came to a sudden halt when they decided to not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the August death of Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager who was shot and killed after an encounter with police. Protesters in Ferguson and across the country expressed outrage at the decision. It was soon after the saddening decision that Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) performed in St. Louis, just a few miles from Ferguson. Killer Mike, who is noted for his outspoken views toward law enforcement, delivered an emotional speech in which he blasted the country's "war machine," offered support to Brown's family and the protesters, and even expressed fear for his own two sons. New Music: Common – “Kingdom” (Remix) Feat. Vince Staples and Jay Electronica

Both Vince Staples and Jay Electronica gave Common a helping hand during his AAHH! festival performance over the weekend and today Common delivers a remix of "Kingdom" featuring the two rappers. The original, which appears on Common's excellent Nobody's Smiling album, gets a nice boost of energy from the youthful Vince Staples and a solid verse from Jay Electronica.
