The mad rapper, Beanie Sigel, is apparently still mad… Beanie now claims that Jay is trying to hit back at him and his co-captain in hate, 50 Cent.
Beanie explains that Jay plans to returns shots at him and 50 and is bringing Nas along for the ride on the new remix to “Empire State Of Mind”. Beanie says:
“They say [Jay-Z] got a record supposed to come out, a remix to the New York sh**, and he popping shots at me. He popping shots at 50 but he put Nas on the record hoping that a ni*** will respond to it and come at Nas. Nas gonna come right back, he ain’t gonna hold no punches. He should come right back. I’m not worried about Nas, I did that already in defense of [Jay-Z].”
I’m sure there’ll be a few indirect bars at there aimed at Beans and 50, but I don’t think Jay-Z and Nas have Beanie Sigel and 50 Cent in mind while creating what’s probably going to be a classic song, but we’ll see when it drops…

The tracklisting for Weezy’s long awaited rock album Rebirth has been revealed. The album features guests like Eminem, Kevin Rudolf, Nicki Minaj and Shanell.
Rebirth drops December 22nd, the same day as Young Money’s debut We Are Young Money and Eminem’s Relaspe: Refill.

A Tribe Called Quest documentary is on the way…Nas and actor Michael Rapaport are working on the new documentary on the group which features commentary from everyone from actor Jonah Hill to Ghostface Killah.
Rapaport did an interview with Soul Assassins and explains that he’s directing the film saying:
“I’m finishing up this documentary about A Tribe Called Quest that I been directing. It’s a rock and roll-style documentary which is about Tribe—which is one of my favorite groups. It’s been fun and hopefully we’ll have it done and ready for 2010.”
Q-Tip also spoke to XXL last year about the project saying:
“I think this is gonna be the first motion picture documentary done on a hip-hop group, which is an honor,” he said. “…Nas spoke to me a while ago and was like, ‘I want to shoot a documentary on you dudes.’ Michael Rapaport saw us perform in LA and said the same thing, so they combined forces. They basically are shooting it. They got backstage footage. They got old archive stuff. They’ve been interviewing everybody.”
“It’s weird ’cause they got everybody from [Jonah Hill] to Ghostface,” he continued. “It’s interesting. It’s gonna be their take or whatever. And there’s a part in the film where they follow Phife into a surgery for his kidney transplant. So, it’s a deep movie.”
