The Roots do what few other groups do in mainstream music today: release consistently great music. There new album, “How I Got Over” is dropping June 22nd and is sure to be amazing like every other album they drop.
This track is a re-work of the Monsters of Folk “Dear God (Sincerely M.O.F.).” Yet even this M.O.F. track is a re-work of an AMAZING track “Is There Any Love” by 1970’s gospel great Trevor Dandy. This Trevor Dandy track was also sampled by Kid Cudi ft Wale “Is There Any Love.” For all you crate diggers out there I suggest you check out everything you can by Trevor Dandy as he is the truth.
