Now that Lil Wayne is out of prison, everyone’s eager to see how his return will affect the rap game.  Jimmy Kimmel took to the streets yesterday to hear a word or two from Weezy’s “biggest supporters.”  Really, who isn’t excited about Weezy coming home?  Even America’s favorite playa Bill Clinton was ecstatic to hear Lil Wayne was getting released.
UPDATE: So TMZ got their hands on Lil Wayne’s probation documents, and the stipulations are somewhat appalling considering Weezy’s lifestyle.  The documents state that Wayne cannot have a sip of alcohol for the next 3 years and must submit regular drug tests.  Notice the picture above of Wayne sipping what looks like a glass of cognac…that was taken the day he returned home.  “Wayne is also prohibited from knowingly associating with any person engaged in criminal activity or any person with a criminal record without prior written approval from the probation department” stated TMZ.  So, his probation officer can give him permission to associate with a person engaged in criminal activity???  If I did a bid for nearly a year, I’d want to celebrate by getting inebriated.  I would ask the judge to put me back in the pen for another 6 months instead, so I could actually enjoy my freedom!  So who thinks Wayne’s going back to Riker’s?

At Drake’s LA performance last night, he told the crowd about receiving a phone call from the newly emancipated rapper.  Notice how all the women in the audience go wild when Drizzy simply says “yo.”  Wouldn’t it be nice if it was really that easy?  Anyway, Drake got Wayne on the horn in front of the packed Gibson Amphitheatre and let him hear the whole place go wild for him.  Rest assured, Wayne isn’t spending anytime relaxing now that he is out of Riker’s.  According to MTV, “Wayne has quite a schedule in front of him now that he is free. He’ll be headed to Arizona today to take care of some legal business (while he was serving time in Rikers, he cut a deal regarding another outstanding charge in that state), and then is on his way to New Orleans, Las Vegas (where he will likely be appearing on stage with Drake as part of a performance on his Light Dreams and Nightmares tour) and Miami (the latter of which will host a huge welcome home party for him at a strip club called King of Diamonds).”  I predict that by Monday, Birdman will issue a statement saying that Wayne completed six albums over the weekend.

  1. I am always happy to hear that someone is released from prison. I do however not appreciate Weezy anymore. I will say he is a beast as far as flow goes and he is almost as nasty as Jay with the word play. This being said his material isnt always the greatest. He has alot of potential as we have heard from a few songs over the years but, the vast majority of his tunes are typical run of the mill stuff. Women,Cars, Money Drugs and guns….this cant be the only inspiration out there?
