Jay Electronica and Erykah Badu welcomed their daughter into the world yesterday. This is the third child for Badu who has kids with Andre 3000 and The D.O.C and the first for Jay. Congrats to the couple who have faced a serious amount of criticism due to Erykah’s ‘three babies – three different daddys’ status, I am sure the kids are all loved and want for nothing which is a lot more than can be said for many of the world’s children.

Video: Erykah Badu Goes at Iggy Azalea in Soul Train Awards Monologue
9 years ago 2,112,462
Queen Erykah Badu, who recently released her excellent But U Caint Use My Phone mixtape, hosted the Soul Train Music Awards on BET and Centric last night in Las Vegas. Thankfully Badu isn't one to mince her words as she threw some serious shade at Iggy Azalea, which that drew a booming reaction from the audience. During the monologue, Badu -- pretending to speak on a phone -- turned away André 3000 and Young Thug from the ceremony, saying she's "banning all rap this year." However, when Azalea calls Badu, she makes an exception: "No no no, you can come, 'cause what you're doing is definitely not rap." Oh shi-- Watch it all unfold below.

After sharing her take on Drake's "Hotline Bling" (entitled "HOTLINE BLING BUT U CAINT USE MY PHONE MIX") from her forthcoming But You Cain't Use My Phone mixtape -- arriving around Thanksgiving -- Erykah Badu has returned with "Phone Down", another new cut from the project. Continuing with the telecommunication device angle she initiated with "Hotline Bling", Badu delivers a serious banger with "Phone Down" -- something surely nobody was expecting. Check out Erykah Badu's excellent "Phone Down" cut from her But You Cain't Use My Phone tape after the jump.

Jay Elec, Jay Elec, Jay Elec -- where to begin? How about the fact that this dude has been teasing at new music for like -- I don't even know -- almost a decade now? He's also (reportedly) got some documentary film in the works, which is probably never gonna see the light of day. And now we've got a new, well, leaked track from Jay Electronica entitled "Man Up." Apparently this track dates back to George W. Bush's first term in office, which would mean somewhere between the years 2001-2005. The track is also produced by Jay Elec. Listen to the leaked track, "Man Up," after the jump.

The mysterious Jay Electronica has shared a new track entitled "Road to Perdition." The song features a sample of Jay-Z's "Success" from his 2007 album American Gangster. No word as to whether or not this track will appear on a new Jay Electronica project, which has been in limbo since forever ago. This is the first new song Jay Electronica has shared since last year's "Better in Tune With the Infinite." He is also starring in the film Into the Light which is scheduled to be released this year. Listen to "Road to Perdition" after the jump.
