The heavily anticipated A$AP Mob Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy is finally almost here—scheduled to drop this Friday, August 25th. With two singles and one video released, “Raf” and “Feels So Good”, respectively, and a Rocky IG story previewing a track with Playboi Carti x Chief Keef, it’s shaping up to be a solid addition to the Mob collaborative projects. And while a Keef x Carti x Rocky track is surefire hit, we now have total insight into the extensive Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 featured artist list.
Given the Mob’s diverse aesthetic, combining elements of old school New York flavor with new wave elements, their roster lends itself to an eclectic grouping of guest artists. Their last project featured a wide-range of emcees, from Grime rapper Skepta to Lil Uzi Vert, and Offset to Lil Yachty, making for a uniquely-textured album. Vol. 2 is following suit.
The Mob honors all types of Hip Hop sub-genres and regions to achieve that varied sonic approach. While they pay homage to their hometown New York by recruiting Dave East for a track, the project’s emphasis lies within Atlanta’s engulfing trap sound with artists such as: 21 Savage, Gucci, Playboi Carti, Migos, and more. Rocky also teams up with good friends and frequent collaborators, Tyler, The Creator and ScHoolboy Q, on the album’s tenth track, “Black Car”. Simply by perusing this list, Vol. 2 should live up to the hype, and hopefully exceed expectations.
