Fresh off their "Idlewild" movie success, Outkast star Andre 3000 (Andre Benjamin) is set to appear in a 1970s basketball comedy due out in 2008.
Andre, who recently launched his own animated series "Class of 3000" on Cartoon Network, will play a hotshot star alongside Woody Harrelson.
"Semi-Pro" will pit the acting talents of the rapper alongside Will Ferrell, who stars as a basketball team coach for the minor league team the Tropics. Benjamin plays a self-styled ladies’ man who is the best player on the team.
