It’s been a minute since August Alsina has come through with an album; his last studio LP, This Thing Called Life, dropped in 2015. But this Friday, all that changes, as he’s readying his third official album, The Product III: State of Emergency, for a Friday (June 26th) release. Today, he’s come through with a taste by way of new single, “Work To Do.”

Hasn't this genre come along way with the guy sweetly singing to the lady rapping on a track? That's a milestone. August and his spaceship deluxe R&B fill music planets with Nicki's rhythmic bars. His modified howling and her melodic songstress half-verse are a radio-wrapped special. That other half rap verse can be chopped right off and Nicki's still there, sounding lovely and suited to this syrup. Check the track after the jump.
