In a new book a former gang member writes that back in 1993 Whitney Houston coughed up $400,000 to get her then husband, Bobby Brown safe and well from kidnappers. It was alleged that Brown owed drug dealers about $25,000 to a drug dealer who then decided to hold him to ransom hoping for a bigger pay out. Well he sure got that by the sounds of things. This story was uncovered in the autobiographical tale of Preacher Crew member David Collins who says Whitney turned up almost immediately to retrieve her man. Just as she is getting her life and career back on track stories about her druggy ways from back in the day resurface…where’s the love?

The rapper-producer duo of Freddie Gibbs (Gary, Indiana) and Madlib (Oxnard, California) could not have worked out better than it already has, as their debut collaborative album Pinata from earlier this year has reached a level of critical and fan acclaim very few hip-hop albums have seen in recent memory. And now their excellent "Knicks" cut gets a remix from the great Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, and Ransom. Damn, now that's a stacked line-up. Here's a meta song if there ever was one. Mike WiLL Made It, who is slated to drop his new mixtape Ransom, debuts a new song entitled "Pu**y Overrated" featuring Wiz Khalifa and Future. As I'm sure you all know both Wiz and Future recently had an ugly breakup with their baby mommas (Amber Rose and Ciara, respectively) and this track is essentially a disrespect to the former love interests of the two. Future even croons "You're supposed to fu*k me like a star/You know you're faking." Jeez! Peep the new track after the jump.
