Belu DaVinci and various other members of the Black Mafia Family were sentenced yesterday in an Atlanta courthouse. Rapper Bleu who was the lead off artist on Black Mafia Family Entertainment, a label which was established in 2000 and was funded from money earned from the extensive drug trafficking the BMF became notorious for.The BMF was established by brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory back in the eighties as the two made names for themselves selling drugs in school and working their way up to literally controlling the narcotics coming into some of the US’s major cities. It was after an extensive investigation headed up by the DEA which involved various wire taps on the BMF’s leading figures that the dynasty came crumbling down. Brothers Demetrius and Terry pleaded guilty to numerous drug charges last year which resulted in various other figures from the ‘family’ coming forward to also confess to crimes of drug trafficking and money laundering. The brothers were sentenced to thirty years each last month for their crimes.
