As we continue our march into fall, the leaves continue falling, the weather is getting crisper, but the influx of hot new music keeps on flowing. With so much new heat flooding the internet, it can be overwhelming trying to sift through all of it on your own efforts. Fear not, though — DJ Forever Cold is back with this week’s edition of the Forever Cold❄️ playlist.

Today is no ordinary New Music Friday. A collection of the industry’s heaviest and most sought-after hitters have chosen today, October 2nd, to bless fans with some of the year’s most anticipated drops. Headlining today’s Forever Cold❄️ list are: 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, Bryson Tiller, YG, and Westside Gunn.

Kicking the door off the hinges, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, two of Atlanta’s most prized gems, have delivered their mythicized sequel to their breakout collaborative LP Savage Mode with Savage Mode II. Over an array of production courtesy of Metro, that aggregates an eclectic hip-hop influence, 21 continues showing how he’s a legend in the making. The tracks “Runnin,” “Rich Nigga Shit” featuring Young Thug, and “Mr. Right Now” featuring Drake have made this week’s list.

Speaking of fabled releases, Bryson Tiller has taken off his elusive hat by finally delivering his third album, Anniversary. Anchored by lead single “Inhale,” Bryson garnered mounting expectations for this release, and by the sound of the succinct 30-minute project, he answered the call. His tracks “Next To You” and the Drake-assisted “Outta Time” have made this week’s list.

Next up, one of the West Coast’s favorites, YG, has come through with his 4Real 4Real successor, My Life 4 Hunnid. Inspired by Tupac and soued in Cali culture, the 13-track LP is a composite of life as seen through YG’s eyes: the continued police brutality, trying to find joy in a dark world, reflecting on his haunting past, and more. The Ty Dolla $ign- and Gunna-assisted “Surgery” has earned a spot on this week’s list.

Last but not least, Griselda MC Westside Gunn has delivered his official debut Shady Records LP, Who Made The Sunshine. Right off the bat, this album has a unique quality given that Westside’s child designed the cover art. And if that weren’t enough, Westside received helping hands from an array of artists, including: Slick Rick (twice), Black Thought, and labelmates Conway, Benny The Butcher, and Armani Caesar. “Good Night” featuring Slick Rick has made this week’s list.

Other artists to be featured in the 10/2 Forever Cold❄️ playlist include: Fivio Foreign, Megan Thee Stallion, Smoke DZA, Yung Tory, Queen Naija, and more.
